Special Offers

Rose Cottage in Newport, Pembrokeshire is a beautifully refurbished, traditional Welsh cottage with exposed wooden beams and wood floors. This charming, dog-friendly cottage has a cosy wood burner to curl up around, or why not relax in the garden with a BBQ. It is just a short stroll from the Parrog Estuary, teeming with wildlife, and the stunning coastline with its abundance of wildflowers and secret sheltered coves.

Newport boasts both a Norman castle and a church, standing proudly above the medieval village on the slopes of Carn Ingli mountain. Only a few minutes walk from the cottage there is a good selection of local shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes and a Post Office, library (part-time opening hours), and local information centre. The Castle Inn sells real ales and food and is family and dog-friendly, alternatively eat out at The Golden Lion Pub or Llys Meddyg restaurant both close by.

Pretty walks from the village lead the visitor to Parrog and Newport beach and inland to the heights of Carn Ingli (Mount of Angels) with splendid vistas to Snowdonia, the Wicklow Mountains, and St David’s Peninsula on a clear day. Local activities include surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, bird watching, kayaking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, and mountain biking.
