Pre-arrival: 

• Nearest train station is Carmarthen. From the north there are trains to Aberystwyth (38 miles approx)
• There is a regular bus service between Cardigan and Aberystwyth that passes through Aberporth approximately hourly and in season the Cardi Bach service runs through all the coastal villages from Cardigan to New Quay so is great for walkers. It runs twice a day except Thursdays. In winter it operates on Fridays and Saturdays only. Please check online for timetables
• Mobile phone reception in the village is good with 4G available on most carriers.
• Internet access – high-speed internet is provided.
• Grocery deliveries: groceries can be ordered for delivery from Tesco in Cardigan but please ensure you will be present for delivery as we cannot accept deliveries for you.

Arrival and car parking:

• There is parking for up to 2 cars on the concreted driveway to the front of the property. The gateway is narrow so you may want to open the gates towards the road (they do not extend onto the roadway even when open.
• There are 3 steps up to the patio and this leads to the front door and round the conservatory to the back door which is usually used as the entrance as it leads to the large utility with room for coats/boots, beach equipment etc.
• The back door can also be accessed via the lawned area to the side of the house to avoid the steps. 
• The large sunny garden is mostly level lawn with patio furniture. Additional garden furniture and charcoal BBQ are found in the shed to the side of the house.
• Please note there is no access for guests to the garage area beyond the back garden, unless by prior arrangement to allow boat parking.

Inside:

• There is good access to all rooms. There is a downstairs toilet and washbasin. The house has hard floors with rugs downstairs and fitted carpet upstairs
• There is adequate space around the beds in the double bedrooms but be aware of the sloping ceilings at the front. Both double bedrooms have room for a travel cot if required.
• The TV and DVD in the living room have remote control.
• Kitchen – cordless kettle, built in oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer
• Utility room – clothes washer, tumble dryer, clothes drying rack

Outside:

• Garden enclosed – care should be taken with children at the front of the property which is enclosed by low walls and a rail.

Eco-friendly features The property has received a ‘Plastic Free Champion’ accreditation from Surfers Against Sewage and is part of the Plastic Free Aberporth campaign. The cottage has been set up to reduce single use plastic and use eco-friendly alternatives as far as possible. We are including ideas for car free holidays (i.e things to do without a car for 7 days) in our cottage manual. We are working towards attaining a silver level grading from Green Tourism
