Pre Arrival

• A fully comprehensive e-welcome guide is sent to all guests upon booking, for downloading onto your mobile phone. This gives full details of the house, the local area, places to visit and eat, and all check-in details. This will enable you to plan your trip fully and enable you to find us using interactive maps from your starting location.
• Buses run from Cardigan and Carmarthen to Newcastle Emlyn, and there are local taxi services which serve the area.
• Tesco, Asda and Morrisons will deliver to the house.
• Mobile phone reception is good, and there is Full Fibre Wifi. The Smart TV utilises the WiFi to allow all Freeview Channels including BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 etc. Guests may use their own subscription services on the TV by logging in with their account details. A simple remote control is provided.

Arrival and parking

The house is a modern, semi-detached home-from home in a quiet residential cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Newcastle Emlyn. It has a smooth but sloping tarmaced driveway with access to the side gate from the car parking area. Two small/medium cars may be parked on the driveway. If you have two larger cars please check with us for details of where you may park. Outside lights are provided at both the front and back of the house.

Inside
Access is via the back door, where a key safe is provided for guests to be able to check in independently. A step into the house leads into the boot/utility room, with a small step into both the study and kitchen area. There are no more steps in the house apart from the staircase to the first floor. No handrails are provided anywhere in the house.

• All floors are tiled or laminate. The staircase and upper landing are carpeted. A stairgate is provided to prevent access to the staircase. Rooms are simply decorated, with both centre lights and side lighting in all rooms. The downstairs cloakroom contains a WC and hand basin.
• Two sofas allow seating for 5 people. A round kitchen table and 5 small chairs are provided, in addition to a high chair and large table in the study.
• Bedroom 1 has room for a travel cot in addition to a chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 may be arranged with one or two single beds. Bedroom 3 is a small single room.
• The shower is over the bath, so is not suitable for less mobile guests.
• All cleaning products used and supplied (including shampoo and conditioner) are from Splosh, a zero-plastic waste Welsh company. Bottles are reused and concentrates used to fill the bottles, reducing waste of plastic containers to zero. The company has very high environmental credentials and never test on animals. Milk in glass bottles and Waffles supplied in the welcome pack are from local businesses. Waffles supplied in the welcome pack are from local businesses.

Outside

• The back garden is largely gravelled, with a small wildlife pond which is not fenced. Infants should be supervised when in the back garden. There is a shed in which bikes may be stored, with a combination padlock. A rotary washing line, glass-topped table and 5 chairs are provided for guests’ use. The garden is enclosed and secure.
• The garden is designed to require little in the way of water and has plants designed to attract bees, butterflies and birds 

Eco-friendly features

• All cleaning products used and supplied (including shampoo and conditioner) are from Splosh, a zero-plastic waste Welsh company.
• Bottles are reused and concentrates used to fill the bottles, reducing waste of plastic containers to zero.
• The company has very high environmental credentials and never test on animals. 
• Milk in glass bottles and Waffles supplied in the welcome pack are from local businesses.
• The garden is designed to require little in the way of water, and has plants designed to attract bees, butterflies and birds.
• The house is very well insulated to reduce oil consumption.
• We always air dry laundry, we never use tumble driers, and we use toilet paper from WGAC, who gives profits to developing countries.
