Ceirios Wen

Pre-arrival: 

• The nearest train station is Aberystwyth (20 miles from Llanarth), there is a bus service from Aberystwyth (T5 to Cardigan) this stops very close to the property. Further details of the buses can be found at www.trawscymru.info/t5
•  Arriving by car, there are two designated parking spaces at the back of the Chapel, this is a graveled surface, with a short paved slope to the property entrance. There is an outside light if you are arriving in darkness.

Local Facilities:

• There is a village shop in Llanarth a few minutes walk from Ceirios Wen, this opens daily from 7am to 10pm for all essential items and newspapers
• There are more food stores in New Quay and Aberaeron. Major supermarkets can be found in Cardigan and Aberystwyth. Asda and Tesco will do a home delivery
• The village pub Llanina Arms does good food, this is a short walk along the main road.
• There is a great selection of cafes, restaurants and take-aways within a three mile radius at New Quay and Aberaeron.

Inside:

• The property is three storey with two curved staircases to the first and second floor. Unfortunately this does not make it suitable for wheelchair users.
• The property has some original stone walls, exposed beams on the top floor, and one original arch window in one of the bedrooms.
• The ground floor has a shower room with toilet and hand basin on the second floor the bathroom has a full bath and separate shower, also with WC and hand basin
• The utility room houses the electric boiler, you may need to switch on the water heating on arrival (it takes about 40 minutes to warm up) or it might already be on from the previous guests. The heating will already be active and warm, each radiator has its own thermostat which you can adjust as necessary
• In the utility room there is a washer dryer, iron, ironing board, clothes airing frame, torch and hairdryer.
• The kitchen is very well equipped with the usual array of utensils, pans and serving dishes. We even supply a hand mixer, weighing scales and tins for baking!
• The electric oven (under the hob) doubles as a grill. Please be careful (and use the oven glove provided) if you are reaching in to take things out, as the grill elements are exposed but not obvious.
• Basic items such as foil, cling film, cooking oil, condiments, spices, tea, coffee, sugar are available for your use, we simply ask you replace anything that runs out! 
• There is a built in fridge in the kitchen, plus a dishwasher, hob and cooker, there is another fridge freezer in the utility room plus a microwave.
• As well as basic items such as a kettle and toaster we also have a Nespresso Coffee Machine and milk frother. We will leave a sleeve of coffee pods but if you need more you need to buy the “original Nespresso compatible type”
• The TV room has an extra large TV which accesses all wifi channels ideal for movie night.
• The TV cabinet has a selection of games, jigsaws and quizzes, plus many tourist leaflets to let you know what there is to see and do in the local area. 
• There is free full fibre broadband available the wifi passcode is on the fridge in the utility room

Outside:  

• The patio is accessed by a steep step from the kitchen or a gate by the main entrance
• This area is full enclosed and secure for small children or dogs.
• The summer house has some small furniture for children, some garden games and some beach equipment and folding chairs if you wish to take these to the beach.
• There is also a gas BBQ, please clean this after use for the next guests.

Guidance for Dog Guests 

• We welcome one dog guest at Ceirios Wen and hope they have a lovely time
• There are dog towels in the utility room for wipe down after walks 
• There are grey blankets upstairs, please use these to cover sofas and beds if you have a dog that likes to get cosy
• Please clear up any dog mess, there are pooh bags in the utility room and a pooh bin by the back door.

Other things to note:

• Mobile phone reception in Llanarth is generally good for all networks, however due to the thick stone walls of the property, signal is sometimes less good indoors
• There are new houses being built nearby, therefore the entrance road surface is temporary and maybe a bit mucky when wet. The builders work Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and are generally not too noisy.
• Please note, check out is no later than 10.00am
• The key-safe is by the side door, through the brown wooden gate into the garden on the passage to the side of the house). It contains keys for the front and back doors. Please return the keys to this box on departure.
