“We had a lovely break at the Long House, very comfortable and well equipped! Very peaceful location with access to the Black Mountain on the doorstep! Two shops nearby and three Pubs! Perfect! Enjoyed feeding the pygmy goats and alpacas! Owner Lorraine was wonderful...fresh eggs and milk and jam and Welsh cakes on arrival ! Would recommend and re visit too!”Feedback - Jun 2019
“Great place to stay, pool table was a hit, garden is nice & enclosed for the dog. The owners were lovely & very helpful and they also let the children meet & feed the animals. Would definitely recommend & would return to the property”Feedback - May 2019
“Fantastic cottage, and very accommodating owner. Did everything possible to make our stay amazing. Loved all the tiny touches like making coffee etc available and even up to date magazines. Thank you very much!”Feedback - Sep 2018
“Lovely cottage in a great location. Neil & Lorraine made us all feel very welcome and were on hand if needed. Was nice to get the opportunity to feed the alpacas & other farm animals and to be given an insight into the place in general.Feedback - Aug 2018
The location of The Delwyn Arms pub was an additional bonus with excellent food @ very reasonable prices and topped of by lovely hosts.
All in all a super place and will definitely be returning
Thanks again ian & christine King”
“Just came back from Pen-y-Graig after a wonderful time with our three grandchildren (two teenagers and an11year old ) and the dog.Feedback - Aug 2018
The cottage was very clean and extremely well equipped, even has champagne glasses!
The grandchildren loved the pool table and the private enclosed garden was ideal for the dog. Loved it and Lorraine was a wonderful host, allowing my granddaughter to feed the animals, and we were surprised that she is relatively new to renting as she was so professional but very friendly.”
“This communication from start to finish was excellent, the property itself was immaculate and much better in real life than in the pictures.”Feedback - Jul 2018
“Lorraine and Neil, have a wonderful place with stunning views, there were cakes, milk and fresh eggs (from their own hens) on arrival. We asked for a tour of their small holding which they were enthusiastic to give, introducing us to their pigs, sheep, chickens and alpacas, which was great.Feedback - Mar 2018
The pool table was a great feature especially with a teenager in tow, and the large kitchen would be great if there was six staying, the three bedrooms are all of a good size with a great bathroom, powerful shower, and plenty of hot water.”
“A lovely cottage, very peaceful and relaxing stay. Lorraine was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The hand delivered fresh eggs were a fantastic suprise, very tasty. Would definitely recommend.”Feedback - Nov 2017
“This is a fantastic holiday home! It is spacious and characterful and very well located. We loved staying here - the pool table was a hit with teens. We enjoyed the views from the back garden and the lovely dog walks straight from the door.Feedback - Oct 2017
Location in general is great for walkers with Black Mountain and many other great Brecon Walks nearby as well as the coast : the Lyn Y Fan Fach walk was one of the best we have ever done - superb views, remote beauty, and no one else to be seen - just stunning; we also loved the Dylan Thomas walk at Laugharne with views across the shifting estuary. Our two mountain bikers rated the trail centres at Afan Valley and Brechfa highly. The red kite feeding at Llanddeusant was unforgettable.
Local pub just round the corner is friendly with good local beers. The miners cinema in the village was a lovely cosy experience.
Owners lived nearby: helpful and friendly, but left us to enjoy the place in privacy. Eggs from the chickens were a great treat.
This is Wales, so bring a few jumpers and waterproofs and you wont go far wrong.”
