Ideal for walkers, this cosy dog-friendly cottage on a smallholding near Cwmtydu on Cardigan Bay has a secure private garden and a network of walks from the door. The Cardi Bach bus travels along the coast and will pick you up or drop you along its route. It runs throughout the year on specific days. Nanternis Farm is situated in the hamlet of Nanternis, in an idyllic sheltered valley between New Quay and Cwmtydu.
Within a short walk is a woodland path that leads down the valley through National Trust woodland, following a picturesque stream as it meanders towards the secluded cove of Cwmsilio. This is a walkers paradise with easy access to the Wales Coast Path which now runs completely around Wales. You can choose to either follow the coastal path south to the peaceful bays of Cwmtydu with its lovely tea room and Llangrannog, which has a good selection of pubs and beachside cafes or head north to the colourful fishing village of New Quay with its beautiful, safe sandy beaches and famous for the bottlenose dolphins which are regular visitors to the bay. Enjoy spectacular, unspoilt scenery, stunning sunsets, attractive beaches and a host of wildlife, birds and wildflowers.
The Urdd Activity centre is nearby which includes a ski slope, climbing wall, horse riding and swimming. Set in an elevated position overlooking Cardigan Bay. You are welcome to feed our chickens with your kitchen scraps. A tea tray with homemade cakes awaits your arrival at this welcoming cottage. Old Farmhouse Cottage is one of two attractive 18th-century stone-built cottages situated on a smallholding adjacent to the owner’s property.
