Mwsogl (meaning moss in Welsh) is a sympathetically renovated property just 5 miles from the coastal town of Aberaeron, Ceredigion. Situated in a tranquil spot in the heart of the West Wales countryside, the cottage also boasts fishing rights on the adjacent lake (carp and tench).

It is conveniently situated to access a wide range of Mid Wales beaches, sandy coves and wonderful walks. The pretty harbour town of Aberaeron boasts several excellent restaurants and cafes as well as independent shops.

Venture further north to the University town of Aberystwyth with its famous pier and Arts centre. Aberystwyth attracts nature-loving visitors as well as culture-seekers.

There are many local activities, including golf, horse riding, sea and river fishing, dolphin and wildlife trips, scuba diving, and a local activity centre (kayaking, assault course, archery).

The village of Llanrhystud is also nearby, which lies on the Ceredigion Coastal Path. You can also visit Fantasy Farm Park, which has a nature trail, play area, funhouse, and lots of animals to see. There is something for everyone in this beautiful part of Ceredigion.

Mwsogl sleeps 4 in 2 upstairs bedrooms: 2 king-size, 1 which can also be configured as a twin room. A downstairs sofa bed means the property can sleep up to 6 if required

Airports The nearest major airport is Cardiff with flights throughout Europe. Bristol offers more choice of destinations.
Mobile phone reception in the area is patchy so we recommend you switch your mobile to WiFi calling when here. WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger calling also work fine as we have a strong WiFi network.
Grocery Deliveries – Tesco is the most reliable delivery service. However, we recommend you order well in advance. Click and collect from Morrisons and Tesco in Aberystwyth is also an option

Each parking area is approximately 25 metres from the cottage doors and is accessible through the garden gate.

All rooms are spacious. Bedrooms are large doubles with garden and lake views, all accessed via a themed staircase
All bedrooms have space for a cot

Kitchens are spacious with cordless kettles, microwaves, electric cookers, cafetieres, dishwashers, fridge/freezers and large dining tables
Bathrooms have heated towel rails

Outside

Gardens are enclosed with fences and are dog-proof
The garden has dining table with seating for up to 8 people
The lake/fishing is fenced off and accessed via gates, so is child-proof
Mwsogl is wheelchair accessible – it has an extra wide entrance door to facilitate wheelchair access and also a walk-in downstairs wet room and sofa-bed meaning that it is not necessary to go upstairs. The entrance door has a slight ‘lip’ but this should not be too challenging for a wheelchair user.
