Situated just a short stroll from Aberaeron’s colourful harbour, beaches, shops, cafés and restaurants, Melbourne is a perfect base for exploring Ceredigion and further afield. It’s ideal for holidays and short breaks throughout the year for both families and couples.

Aberaeron has an excellent selection of independent food shops - butcher, bakery, fishmonger, deli and supermarket and an indoor market every Saturday. Melbourne’s rear garden is a real suntrap and ideal for relaxing with locally sourced food and drink after a day at the beach or exploring Ceredigion’s coast and countryside.

The Ceredigion section of the Wales Coast Path and Aberaeron’s two beaches are within a five-minute walk of the front door while the National Trust’s Llanerchaeron estate is just a short walk away along the River Aeron. Head for the harbour in the evening to watch the sunset over Cardigan Bay - it’s a ‘must-do’ experience along with sampling Aberaeron’s famous honey ice cream and some of the best fish and chips Wales has to offer!
