Madras Cottage is a 19th Century cottage located just a mile from the coastal town of Laugharne, Carmarthenshire. It has been renovated and so has a modern yet cosy feel and features everything a family needs whilst on holiday. Each of the four bedrooms has its own private shower or bathroom facilities including a wet room on the ground floor which will benefit those with restricted mobility.

Madras Cottage is on the outskirts of the idyllic town of Laugharne, which was home to renowned poet and author Dylan Thomas. His boathouse is set in a beautiful location overlooking the Tâf estuary. The impressive ruined Norman Castle with its magnificent views is also worth visiting.

Laugharne boasts plenty of great places to eat for all ages and budgets, and there are lots of great pubs with a good selection of beers.

Nestled on the border of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, there are many spectacular beaches nearby. With its 7 miles of beach, the breathtaking Pendine Sands are just 4 miles away; and a 30-minute drive, the Pembrokeshire seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot.

It’s also a short distance from many other attractions and activities. These include Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, horse riding, golf, quad biking and the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

OUTSIDE

The grounds extend to nearly one acre and are undergoing a programme of renovation. They comprise mostly sloping woodland and grassy areas to the rear and flat grass area to the front. Children must be supervised in the woodland area and no guests are permitted in the workspace area. Ample car parking for up to 5 cars. Seating areas to front and rear of the house.
