Gwar y Coed is a detached Pembrokeshire cottage in a quiet rural location, facing south and with views to the Preseli Hills from the rear garden. Located at the north end of Llys y Fran reservoir, it is a perfect base for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.

The cottage is a 20 minute drive to the Preseli Hills and 25 to 30 minute drive to the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast, either north to Newport Bay, west to Newgale Beach or south to Tenby and Saundersfoot. The tiny city of St Davids is a 50 minute drive away. National Cycle Route 47 is close by; a lockable cycle shed is available at Gwar y Coed.

Gwar y Coed is centrally located for the main towns of Haverfordwest, Narberth and Fishguard. There are friendly pubs serving food 15 to 20 minutes’ drive away, notably the unique Tafarn Zinc at Rosebush. This has a traditional Welsh atmosphere with sawdust on the wooden floors and Welsh cured hams hanging from the ceiling.


Gwar y Coed sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms on the first floor, 2 doubles and 1 twin. There is a discount for a party of 4 people or fewer available on certain weeks during which time the twin bedroom and second living room will not be available.

Conservatory: faces south providing a lovely bright place to enjoy the peaceful surroundings


At the front of the cottage there is a terrace for sitting and eating, behind are steps up to a level lawned area. Across from the property is a pretty ornamental garden with a seating area to enjoy the stream and an unfenced wildlife pond that has many species of dragon fly and damsel fly. Please ensure children are supervised. Parking for 3 cars.
