“Absolutely amazing cottage, location, views and tranquility. Sian and Brian were at hand if we needed them and so welcoming. Flowers and wine on arrival made our holiday begin as soon as we set foot through the door. Excellent location for exploring the area by foot or car. Even our four legged family member felt at home so much so he would bark as our hosts returned home or carried on with work in the grounds as he saw them as intruders on our property... ooooops!! ..... sorry for all the barking when you were near Brian.
Diolch yn fawr iawn, we will definitely look at staying again x”

“We had a wonderful week staying at Gwalia. The cottage is in a wonderful position overlooking the Taf Estuary and with lovely views of Laugharne and Dylan Thomas' boathouse across the estuary. There are beautiful walks nearby and also Llansteffan and its Beach is just 10 minutes away.

The cottage is really comfortable and beautifully presented. There is a large terrace and side garden overlooking the estuary which are lovely to sit in during the day and to watch the sunset in the evening. It has everything you need for a holiday stay.

Sian and Brian are lovely hosts and greeted us and made us feel very welcome on arrival.”

“We loved our stay at Gwalia. Peaceful location, beautiful views across the estuary, plenty to enjoy and explore nearby and a good base for exploring West Wales. Sian and Brian couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and really went the extra mile. The house is comfortable, well-equipped and a nice place to be. As a family of 4 large people with an active dog, we greatly appreciated the luxury of a utility room for laundry, wet coats and with space for the dog's paraphenalia. Our favourite place to visit from Gwalia? Llansteffan is really nice and the easiest place to get to. We also loved Drysylwyn Castle - fabulous views and almost nobody there, in contrast to Dynefwr (which is also brilliant but a lot busier and you can't take dogs in) - and the highlight of the whole week was seeing otters in the River Towy, up close as they swam below the bridge near Drysylwyn.”

“We loved staying at Gwalia. The location was spectacular with fields running down to the salt marsh, the river and Dylan Thomas' Boathouse across the water. There was nothing to hear but bird song, sheep and the occasional farm vehicle. And the sunsets...…. We would definitely stay there again.”

“We had a lovely few days at Gwalia. So peaceful, at night when we opened the patio doors we could not hear a sound over the breeze. We didn't need much during our stay, but Sian and Brian were happy to help with anything we did need. I would love to go back again in the future.”

“The accommodation is clean, very comfortable and well equipped. It is also in a fantastic position, offering great views across the estuary to the village of Laugharne opposite, with Dylan Thomas's boat house prominent. This is a perfect location for sightseeing west wales, or walking the local coast and countryside. Sian and Brian are the perfect hosts.”

“Arriving at Gwalia after a long journey to find it so comfortable, clean and warm was bliss. The cottage was in the most beautiful spot so to sit and watch the sun set with a glass of the wine which was left in the cottage was heavenly. I have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage. Sian and Brian were very helpful and friendly and helped to make our stay a total joy. We hope to go back.”
