Glenydd

Pre-arrival:

• Glenydd is located in the centre of New Quay which is located directly on Cardigan Bay, an equal distance (20 miles) from Aberystwyth to the North and Cardigan to the South. It is a drive of approximately 2 hours from Cardiff and 3 hours from Birmingham.
• New Quay is difficult to access by public transport although there is a regular bus route from Aberystwyth which has a direct train route to Birmingham.
• It is a taxi journey of around 45 minutes from Carmarthen which has a direct train line to Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol and London.
• There is reasonable mobile reception within the property. The property also has wi-fi which is for the use of guests and is suitable for most purposes.
• Grocery deliveries can be ordered in advance from Tesco who will deliver to New Quay. There is a reasonably large Cost-cutter store in the village which stocks Co-op products but the nearest major supermarkets are in Aberystwyth and Cardigan.

Arrival and Car Parking:

• Glenydd is on a quiet street but it is in the centre of New Quay and there is no parking directly outside the property from April to September.
• Guests can unload and pack by parking directly outside the property but thereafter will have to move their vehicles.
• There is a public car park only 100 yards from the property which charges £3 per day.
• It is also possible to find free on-street parking in and around New Quay although this can be difficult in season.

Inside:

• Glenydd is a traditional period 3-bedroom terrace. The downstairs has a large living room, a kitchen with a small dining area, a separate larger dining area and a downstair shower cubicle / WC. There is a bed settee in the living room which can sleep additional guests.
• Upstairs has a large master bedroom with room for a cot (although a cot is not provided). There is a smaller front room with two single bunk beds which is suitable for children and young adults. The rear bedroom has a double bed which sleeps 2 adults although there is a low ceiling to one side of the bed.
• The main bathroom is upstairs which has a WC and a bath with hand-shower.
• There is a TV with a remote control, Freeview channels and internet based free services such as BBC I-Player.
• The kitchen has an electric age style cooker, a microwave oven, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle.

Outside:

• The garden is a small enclosed area with garden furniture and a hot tub. The hot tub is for the use of guests although guests are responsible for their own safety and those of their children and must adhere to the hot tubs rules which are displayed and contained within the house pack.
• The property will be suitable for most guests although there are stairs and there is no provision of lifts or handrails so it may not suit guests with limited mobility.
