Pre-arrival: 

• As Garnllys is isolated a car is recommended unless visitors are prepared to walk. The nearest village is one mile away with a church but no shops. The nearest shops are within five miles, at Goodwick, and both the Post Office and Tesco will deliver groceries
• The nearby train stations are Fishguard & Goodwick and Haverfordwest, both a taxi ride away.
• There is mobile phone reception at Garnllys. However, the reception can be poor at some points in the area, particularly along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
• WiFi is set up and freely available.

Arrival and car parking:

• Two cars can be parked adjacent to Garnllys, one in a gravel parking bay and the other on grass.
• As Garnllys is remote a torch is recommended if arriving in the dark. There is an outside light with motion detector
• The front door is found in the enclosed garden on the East side, which is the field side. There are three steps up (height ranging 5-8” or 14-20cm) followed by the threshold. There is a flat path and shallow step into the back door (height 1.5” or 4cm) and then the threshold, which may suit visitors with limited mobility. Neither entrance has hand grab rails.

Inside: 

• No smoking inside the cottage please.
• There is level access downstairs, including sitting room, dining room, kitchen, walk-in shower (door width 32” or 81cm) with grab pole and seat, separate WC and twin double bedroom. Upstairs there is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, one single bedroom and one bathroom with WC
• For visitors with limited mobility please note that in the downstairs loo grab rails have been fitted but that there is limited space either side of the WC. • There is a cot in the single bedroom upstairs
• The 31” TV in the sitting room also has a DVD and a video player. There is a 20.5” TV in the dining room
• The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave and cordless kettle
• The downstairs shower is walk-in and has a seat. However, neither the shower room nor the bath upstairs have grab rails.

Outside:

• There is a sloping grassy bank on the West side of the farmhouse which is a fun area for children to play. The crag is also good for climbing
• The concrete garden/patio on the East side is enclosed and there is level access from the back door across the grass
• The Garnllys land is farmed and so countryside codes should always be considered.
• The local area is lovely for walks, but dogs must not be allowed near or amongst the cattle.
