“We had a fabulous stay at Dyfed Cottage and plan to return. We truly didn’t want to leave.
The cottage is perfectly situated for amazing walks along the cost path and is close to all the local amenities in the village.
Most of the local pubs are dog friendly and there are plenty of places to eat out or to order a take away.
There are some very quirky little shops that are well worth a visit, and the local butcher has everything you could possibly need for your stay.
The cottage was so cosy and perfect for a couple, our little dog enjoyed her stay as much as us.
The area is very peaceful.
The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious, the shower was very powerful and there was plenty of hot water. The towels were super soft and so large and comfy.
The kitchen is so well equipped and spacious.
It made a welcome change to have cleaning products, soap liquid and dishwasher tabs etc.available to start the week, so very thoughtful, thank you 🙏.
The garden area is a little sun trap and we made good use of the comfy garden furniture,we were very lucky with the weather.
We were sad to leave and are planning to return.
Thank you Lucy for the very welcome bottle of wine,we enjoyed this in your pretty garden one sunny afternoon.
We would also like to thank you for your prompt replies to our enquiries.
We had a wonderful week at Dyfed Cottage thank you once again.”

“The cottage was clean, comfortable and warm (for a February stay). The location is perfect, being close to shops and cafes and a short walk from the sea. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly when we lost the key. We also had to postpone our departure because of emergency weather and the owner was flexible and accommodating in the circumstances. I would certainly recommend this cottage and would like to return.”

“Dyfed cottage is absolutely perfect in every way. I stayed there with my 14 year old son and black labrador, Strider and it suited all our needs. Communication with the owner was excellent. It was clean, homely and had those extra little touches that make an OK place into a superb one.

We loved it and will be back.

Thank you

“We absolutely loved our stay. We were blessed with great weather so were able to enjoy the lovely garden in the evenings with a gin and tonic or glass of wine. Can not fault the cottage ar all it has everything you need, extremely well equipped.
Maybe the only thing we could recommend is to let holiday makers know that you will need £15 in cash for the carpark. We only just managed to get to the post office for some change befor they closed.”

“The cottage was lovely and comfortable and just as described. The location was excellent as it was a 2 minute walk to local shops, pubs and restaurants but it was not on a Main Street so was really quiet in the night.

Newport is a great place to stay, very dog friendly. Will certainly visit again.”

Feedback - Apr 2018

“Excellent cottage with everything you need for a pleasant stay and spotlessly clean. Location is ideal for coastal path walks , Newport sands and Dinas island. Also convenient for 2 excellent dog friendly pubs and also shops and takeaways. We much appreciated in view of the weather when we went the secondary heating with the gas fire and the ability to boost the heating as required we have had other cottages were this was not the case and have had to sit in the cold not nice! All in all we and Jess the dog loved our break and would definitely use again.”

“Fantastic weekend. Arrived late Fri eve to a lovely warm cosy cottage which was just as expected. Bottle of wine left for us by owners which was a lovely thought after a long drive. Owner had also recommended best dog friendly pubs which we used and everything was central. Great walks along beach. Shall definatley return as we felt so at home and nothing is too much bother.Highly recommend a visit”

“We only stayed for a weekend but we loved it. The cottage was perfect for us and our dog Robbie. The location was ideal, there is a lovely stroll to the beach and the centre of Newport is right on the doorstep. We decided to leave the car in the car park just up the road which was so convenient and free during the winter months.
We are now looking for a longer stay in the new year. Lynn & John”
