“What a beautiful cottage and the perfect setting for a family holiday. We were greeted with wonderful hospitality by our hosts who were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the use of the boats on the lake and explored the local area on our bikes. The beaches are only a half hour car journey away, but was lovely to return to the peace and quiet at Dorinda at the end of the day. A very memorable and enjoyable week, thank you.”Feedback - Aug 2020
“We had a wonderful stay in Dorinda Cottage. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming or hospitable. The valley where their three cottages are situated is very remote but stunningly beautiful. We woke each day to the sound of birdsong and the babbling river.Feedback - Aug 2020
Once we saw the idyllic surroundings, we knew we would not need to venture out on day trips. The surrounding countryside offered beautiful walks and the owners" three lakes afforded fantastic fly fishing. Our grandchildren loved playing in the boats on the lake, which the owners kindly lent to us. Lily the owners" gentle, dog was also a big hit.
The cottage was very well equipped and the owners even provided wood for the wood burner. We were greeted with beautiful flowers from the garden, and homemade flapjack and Welsh cakes.
There is a very well stocked shop in the local village. The intermittent Internet actually added to our sense of relaxation. The other cottages nearby also looked very cosy and we enjoyed learning the history of the little village in time past.
All in all, an excellent week In a magical setting with the kindest hosts!”

Are so welcoming we have stayed within many parts within Wales through the years. We certainly hit the jackpot this time.
On our arrival we was greeted with such hospitality from all. Residents holidaying as with owners friends Hannah & Martin.
The setting is so peaceful and relaxing time went too quick. The fishing was good and some vey nice trout caught during our stay,.
Thank you for everything you did for us too make our stay enjoyable. We can not wait until our next visit very soon.

“We had a very warm welcome from David and Julie and their son. Our grandchildren (age 6 and 2) had a wonderful time exploring the huge area of woods, river and lake and the lovely walks, as our dogs did too. The children were able to sail a little motorised boat on the lake, which is a lovely serene place to wander.Feedback - Jul 2019
I have mentioned the cottage to a friend who used to live in the area as she would love to revisit this part of Wales.
There are 3 other cottages but Dorinda suited us best. There are beautiful places not far away, the little train and pixi train made us all children again and the beaches are as good if not better on the continent. Lots of villages and towns to explore too.
I think you will have a very happy holiday here.”
“Cwmcerig is very special and quite amazing. David and Julie are quite wonderful, wildly eccentric and warmly welcoming. This is an out of this world experience and the almost unavoidable fishing is superb. Words fail me”Feedback - Jun 2019
“Very friendly and helpful owners, the setting was beautiful and tranquil and the children loved playing on the tree swing over the stream at the bottom of the garden. The grounds are kept in beautiful condition with the fishing lakes contributing to a magical setting. There is no one else around and it's traffic free the kids could run around with no fears for their safety and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”Feedback - Aug 2017

“The cottage was really lovely and olde worlde, we would definitely return to see it.Feedback - Dec 2015
The Dorinder is set in the woods, overlooking a small river, and is remote so if anyone is looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from the rat race this is the place for it.
The family were most welcoming and left tea, sugar, milk and home-made flapjacks out for us after our long journey there.
Also as it was Christmas time they left a present and a card under the Christmas tree; lovely touch which we appreciated.”
“The most relaxing idilic place. Very welcoming for both human and dogs.Feedback - Aug 2015
