“Had a wonderful time at Dolwyn. It has everything you need for your stay, what ever your age. The village has two lovely pubs & 2 lovely beaches to stroll on. I had the best sleep ever as you don`t hear a sound. We wanted a nice peaceful few days & that`s exactly what we got.We are looking forward to our next stay already.Feedback - Feb 2020
Thank you very much.”
“Despite terrible weather , we had an enjoyable stay in Dolwyn. 10 minute walk to beach and pub which serves good food. Chineese also good.Feedback - Jan 2020
Lovely beaches at Tresaith and Penbryn which we saw from the car !!! Worth a trip to Newquay and Aberaron but not when busy season !!!
Would like to re visit with no storm Brenden !!”

“Lovely bungalow within walking distance of Aberporth beach and a coastal walk to Tresaith beach both of which are dog friendly .The bungalow has a large enclosed garden and the beds were very comfortable, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the area is absolutely beautiful”Feedback - Jul 2019
“We had a wonderful week at Dolwyn. It's so peaceful there! It's a short walk to a beautiful beach and only a little further over the cliff to the waterfall at Tresaith. We'll be back! X”Feedback - Jul 2019
“Dolwyn was a lovely place to stay. The bungalow was so bright and sunny, with the front room and front garden getting the sun all morning, and the conservatory and secluded back garden getting wonderful sunsets.Feedback - Jul 2019
Being at the back of the village it was so peaceful, (no through traffic), and it was less than a ten minute walk to the East bank of the village which has well placed benches over looking the beaches and the west side of the village---perfect for an evening sit.
It was lovely to have the car right outside the property, and access to the main road was very easy. The main road linking the coastal villages was lovely to drive on although obviously the roads down to the beach coves were much more narrow. The coastline is beautiful-- , lots of high cliffs interspersed with sandy coves where some of the villages are.
I would definitely recommend Dolwyn as a great place to stay for a really relaxing holiday doing as much or as little as you like.”
“Excellent place to stay, warm welcome by owner, very comfortable and homely, well equipped, the garden excellent for us and the dog, peaceful, would love to stay again”Feedback - Jun 2019
“Great stay at Dolwyn. The property was a great size for us and the garden was totally enclosed and big which was great for our cocker spaniel. Not too far from the beach as Aberporth is only a small village and close to the local amenities and public transport.”Feedback - Jun 2019
“Great bungalow in a nice quiet position but still close to the sea. Very cosy and well equipped with a lovely enclosed garden for dogs and children. Convenient access to local villages and beaches. Definitely worth walking the Ceredigion coastal path - it's amongst the most beautiful coastal scenery in the UK.”Feedback - Jun 2019
“We loved our stay at Dolwyn in the lovely village of Aberporth.Feedback - May 2019
Dolwyn was just perfect in every way. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door, it was very comfortable.
We found Aberporth to be very friendly. Everything you needed for your stay was there in the village.
We enjoyed the beautiful walk on the coastal path to Tresaith. The surrounding area is very picturesque.
We love Dolwyn and Aberporth so much we hope to return next year.”
“Loveley bungalow in a nice quiet residential area. Close to all amenities and a good centre for touring the surrounding area. Ideal enclosed rear garden for dogs and their owners to enjoy.”Feedback - May 2019
“Comfortable well equipped bungalow in a good quiet location to Aberporth and the coastal path.”Feedback - May 2019
“This is a very nice detached bungalow in reasonably quiet spot but within 10 minutes walk from the beach and costal footpath. It offers a sun room at the back looking over the garden and is well equipped for the self catering client. The bedrooms were attractive and the quirky sea shore type styling has been cleverly deployed across the bungalow - we particularly liked the suspended hanging rails - I wont spoil the surprise. The garden is partially grassed and good for those with a dog as it is truly fully enclosed.Feedback - Apr 2019
The owners, Sam, Gilly and Hedz were extremely helpful. The previous occupant did not report a wi fi breakdown until the day they left and we arrived. This was important to me as my Rugby team had a key match that could be watched via my laptop. The owners moved heaven and earth in n attempt to fix the problem including arranging for me to use the local pubs wi fi that day.
Thanks to you all for making our stay very enjoyable.
Alan & Sheila”

“We enjoyed a very pleasant week at Dolwyn, especially with the weather being so good for the time of year. It was very cold but so lovely to come back and put on the heating which made it so warm and cosy in no time. The fireworks on the beach were amazing and our granddaughter loved them. We will most certainly consider a further visit, maybe in the summer.”Feedback - Oct 2018

“We had a lovely week at the cottage. It was very well equip and very spacious. We loved the back garden and the sun sets. It was immaculately clean and we were really happy that Gilly had arranged some additional baby equipment for us. We loved the themed sea life decor and the quirkiness of the place. We like the fact that you are plastic free and keen to get people recycling :). The location is perfect with 2 beaches near by. There is a good community feel about the place and this was evident at the Aberport carnival we attended. We would highly recommend the cottage as a place to stay if you want a peaceful get away in lovely surroundings.”Feedback - Jul 2018

We used the BBQ and sat in the deckchairs in the garden in the shade when it got too hot for the beach.
Beautiful beaches to visit which were dog friendly.
We would recommend Dolwyn as a good base as lots of other close by beaches and not far from Cardigan for larger shops.”

“Really nice place and setting.A large enclosed back garden, well kept and laid out, perfect for our dog to get some fresh air.Feedback - Sep 2017
A lovely conservatory we used to sit and have our morning coffee, we fed the birds, one morning we had 3 robins in the garden, a beautiful sight.
The owners kept a respectable distance but were always on hand at the end of the phone if needed to give advice.
Dogs are welcome in some local establishments but not all so you it is worth phoning in advance and asking.
We slept well and ate in a couple of evenings. We would recommend Dolwyn to anybody.”
“The property is cosy and well furnished with everything provided to ensure a comfortable stay. Lovely enclosed garden, safe for children or dogs. Deck chairs, table & benches allowed for alfresco dining - even the BBQ & coals had been thoughtfully provided. Lovely welcome from Gill. Would happily recommend.”Feedback - Aug 2017
“We really loved staying at Dolwen! It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable, the sitting room cosy and conservatory a lovely sound-proof bonus to read in away from the children! The beach in Aberporth was lovely, especially for swimming at low tide and easy to get to with a 10 minute walk. We did lots of day trips to various attractions, other beaches and walks in the area and coming back to a comfortable base at Dolwen made our holiday in West Wales a wonderful week.”Feedback - Jul 2017

“A wonderfully cosy "home from home" - well equipped with some lovely touches to get you in the holiday mood !! A bonus that it was only a 5 minute walk to the beach or to join the coastal path with Charlie our Dalmatian who was also very impressed with the lovely garden to play in. Also great base to explore the area - didn't need to drive very far to find more beaches or a lovely walk in Penghelli Forest. Had a lovely welcome from Gilly & will definitely visit again.
