The wonderful village of Marloes is within part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with stunning seascapes and a wealth of wildlife. Marloes Sands is backed by cliffs and at low tide the beach reveals rocks that divide the beach up into small little bays. At the western end of the beach you can find many rockpools, perfect for exploring and trying to see the wonderful wildlife of West Wales. This beach has once been labelled as one of the best beaches in Britain, however it does involve a fairly long walk to reach it, so make sure you are prepared for a bit of a trek.
Marloes includes Skomer Island which is accessible from Martin’s Haven at the tip of Marloes peninsula. Skomer Island is a charming island for a day visit and the main interest of the island is the seabirds, as well as the stunning views. Puffins are the most famous of the seabirds to live on Skomer Island and begin to return to the island from mid-March each year but do not lay their eggs until late April.
