Coronavirus and your holiday

You acknowledge that you are choosing to travel at a time where you may be exposed to the COVID- 19 virus. You also acknowledge that you must comply with all advice and guidance issued by relevant governments, devolved governments, public and health authorities. Owners may require you to follow additional safety protocols during your stay. We use information from the UK and foreign government departments in assessing whether or not your accommodation is available for use. However, it is also your own responsibility to acquaint yourself with all relevant travel information, including applicable health risks, and the nature of your visit.

Please note that the Owner is obliged to pay us a commission for the service we supply in advertising and marketing their property, sourcing visitors for their accommodation, making bookings and administering those bookings both before and after use of the property; and carrying out customer care. That commission agreement is a separate contract between us and the Owner, and is not part of or dependent on the contract for the supply of accommodation that you enter into with the Owner. Consequently, in the event of a change to or cancellation of your accommodation contract, the terms of the commission agreement between us and the Owner remains unaffected: the Owner remains obliged to pay us the commission and we have no obligation to repay that commission, either to you or the Owner, in any circumstances.

Please see the Welsh Government advice: https://gov.wales/coronavirus-travel

You agree to notify us immediately if you test positive for COVID-19 at any time after you make your booking with us if you consider that you may have COVID-19 symptoms, or if you become aware that you may have come into close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who may have COVID-19 symptoms. We may share this information with the relevant suppliers making up your booking in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy.

If you notify us before travelling, and we (or the relevant owner) conclude that you are no longer able to travel because of the COVID-19 risk, then your booking will be treated as having been cancelled by you and the owner may impose cancellation charges.

We both agree that the measures set out above are a necessary part of keeping you, other travellers, employees and the public safe. You are making your booking in full knowledge that such measures are likely to be a part of your holiday and do not amount to significant changes to your booking, nor do they amount to a lack of conformity.

We shall have no liability to you for any refunds, compensation, losses, costs, expenses or damages you incur in connection with the matters described above or if you are unable to travel or make use of all or part of your booking because of these matters. These are risks which you must protect through obtaining comprehensive travel insurance.

You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made in light of consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks attendant upon such travel. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability in relation to these additional risks. The FCO and/or other Government or devolved Government bodies are currently advising against all but essential travel to a number of travel destinations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is possible that, by the time of your departure, such FCO COVID advice may be in place in respect of your travel destination and a quarantine period may apply upon your return. If your accommodation is still open despite this advice and it is not significantly affected by COVID-19, and if you wish to cancel in these circumstances, cancellation charges shall apply.

Individual owners’ terms and conditions may vary from the above general proposition and you are advised to refer to those for the specifics relating to your own booking. Contact the owner directly for further detail or queries.

REFUNDS: Owners have their own terms and conditions. Please refer to each owner for their specific terms.
