Chapel Studio near St Davids is a cosy romantic retreat with wood burning stove and coastal walks from the door. At the lane’s end in Treleddid Fawr, a quiet hamlet perched high on St Davids headland with views across the Atlantic Ocean to Skomer, Ramsey and other offshore islands.

Only minutes by ancient footpath to join the coast path with its isolated seal breeding coves and a further mile to the untouched beach of Porthmelgan next to St Davids Head.

There are many other beaches nearby including Whitesands (5 minute drive or 30 minute walk) which has Blue Flag status, car park and café. It is less than 2 miles from Britain’s smallest city, St Davids with its Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace, restaurants, galleries, boat trip offices, amenities etc.

A perfect base to explore the coast, offshore islands, castles, hills and estuaries.

Chapel Studio sleeps a maximum of two plus a babe in arms (not yet crawling). There is both a double bed overlooking the private garden and an adjacent loft double bed under the wood panelled ceiling accessed by wooden steps. Please note that this loft double bed is only suitable for the more agile, offering a separate sleeping space for the second guest but not for further guests as the studio is only suitable for a maximum of 2 NOT 3. It is made up by prior arrangement for an additional fee. The shower room is off the entrance hallway.

The rest of the accommodation is a large L-shaped room under a high wood panelled vaulted ceiling. An airy and spacious atmosphere is created by large south facing windows overlooking its own enclosed garden. The kitchen/living area, containing an electric oven/grill with ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, is well equipped for relaxing and cooking meals. The dining table and chairs sit below the garden windows and renovated antique arm chairs around the fire.

A radio/ipod dock and free WiFi are provided but a TV is not.

The large entrance hallway/cloakroom contains a chair and pine wardrobe with full length mirror. Through the hall window you can watch wrens occupying their nests on cold winter nights in the covered outside porch.

Lawned and with old stone paths, the garden contains wooden garden furniture and a stone bench. It’s a sun trap and secluded haven of peace in which to enjoy the sun, the stillness or the unusually clear night skies. A seven foot stone wall separates the garden from the owner’s mature wooded grounds. A Pembrokeshire hedge bank topped with gorse separates the garden from a stream and bank on the other side.

Private parking is by the garden gate off the end of the maintained lane. By arrangement, we offer connections to local bus services on arrival or departure for those not wishing to travel by car for their walking holiday
