Cart Cottage – a converted, refurbished ‘eco-friendly’ barn, tranquil location, private fishing lake and private hot tub - only 10 mins from the beach. Set on a 7 acre site at the end of a lane – no light pollution, no traffic noise! Within the 7 acres there is also a house and an adjoining cottage – that cannot be seen or overlooked. There are nearby bridleways for access to the hills and woodlands – home of the red kites; visitors are welcome to explore the 7 acres, which includes the river Arth.

It is very conveniently situated for access to a wide range of mid Wales coves and sandy beaches, and the pretty harbour town of Aberaeron which boast a number of excellent restaurants, such as the Harbourmaster.

There is a pub at the local village of Cross Inn and local activities include: golf, horse riding, sea and river fishing, dolphin and wildlife trips, scuba diving, activity centre (kayaking, assault course, archery) and spa.


The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms: one with king size bed (can convert to 2 single beds) and the other with a double.

The bathroom has a shower over the bath, wash hand basin and WC.

The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The dining table seats 6. The kitchen leads into the large living room.

The living room has a wood burner, 2 large sofas, 1 chair, coffee table, lamps, cupboard for flat-screen Freeview TV with DVD player. The living room has French doors onto the veranda, overlooking the garden, hot tub and BBQ.


The cottage has its own private fenced garden, with veranda, patio, hot tub and BBQ. Nearby is the private fishing lake, stocked with Rudd and Carp (12lb). Fishing is free of charge. Nearby there are some children’s swings. The cottage has a private access with ample parking space for 2 cars. There is a secure bike store shared by all the properties.

The adjoining cottage and nearby house each have their own access and private gardens; they are not visible from the cottage so you are not overlooked.

Although convenient for the coast, this is a very quiet location as it is at the end of a dead end lane – therefore no traffic or light pollution!
