“I booked this cottage a surprise for my parents as a gift for Christmas and I was a little apprehensive as you never know what you are booking until you actually get to the property but I didn’t need to worry - they both loved every second of it and said it is really central for getting around West Wales”

“Really enjoyed stopping in this cottage! The area is really nice and scenic and the owners were really good hosts! Plus their home made cider and fresh eggs from the chickens were really nice! Definitely going to stop in this cottage again in the future!”

“A very cosy little smail that is very easy to keep warm and is very comfortable. Has everything you need for self catering and is located so that many interesting towns and cities can be reached by car in less than an hour. A moderate walk from the cottage will take you to Ynys Lochtyn. The owners are very friendly and eager to make your stay a pleasant.

Highly recommend.

p.s. That route:”

“Fantastic cottage, the pictures do not do it justice! Cosy and warm upon arrival, with a very warm welcome from Gari who is on hand just in case there are any queries.
Well equipped with everything that you would need for your stay. Plenty of space for you to relax, cook and just enjoy the tranquillity of Wales. We will be going again, one of the best self catering holiday lets that we have stopped in.”

“The cottage was lovely, it was spotless clean and a good size. This was our first visit to this part of Wales, it had beautiful scenery and just 3 minutes drive from the beach. Where there was 2 pubs and a take-away restaurant and also a lovely ice-cream parlour selling various flavours of lovely home made ice-cream, coffees and cakes. One of the pubs - The Pentre Arms has won awards for their food, sold delicious food and did daily specials on their board, like halibut, lemon sole, scallops and crab etc. Also has a live band on Saturday nights.”

“The cottage Carew was absolutely great. Just the ideal size for 2 people. The bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were also really good and well appointed. The living room is very comfortable and has everything for an enjoyable stay.

We found it peaceful and quiet and Gary and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. We also were thrilled to see the 3 Red Kites flying overhead every day, a real treat.

We will be back!”

“Stayed at Carew Cottage for one week with 6 yr old granddaughter. We loved it! The cottage is cosy, well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. Lots of lovely beaches close by.
Gari, the owner, was welcoming and very helpful, offering suggestions of where to go, what to do etc.. and always seemed genuinely pleased to see us when we bumped into him on the farm. My little granddaughter was besotted with the chickens and loved collecting the eggs.
Gari also makes a mean cider!
Highly recommended ( the cottage and the cider!)”

“Carew cottage was lovely, comfortable and quiet. The private garden was nice to sit out in and caught the sun in the afternoon. We received a warm welcome from Gary and Deb, and I very much enjoyed Gary's homemade cider! The cottage is in a good location for exploring the west wales coastline by car and we even saw a dolphin from Aberporth beach :-)”
