“Lovely period cottage with views across the estuary. Perfect for a relaxing break with walks on the doorstep.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cae'r Aber. The cottage was as lovely as the pictures suggest and I felt at home the moment I arrived. It was peaceful, well equipped, comfortable and homely. I foolishly left a couple of items at the Cottage and the owner Dave was kind enough to organise their return. I'll definitely be returning.”

“We truly loved our stay at Cae’r Aber cottage. It is chocolate box picturesque from the outside and cosy, comfortable and beautifully styled inside, with everything you could need. The garden views were splendid and could also be enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table. We didn’t light the log burners, but could imagine how cosy that would make the cottage in winter. We also fell in love with St. Dogmaels and would definitely recommend it as a great holiday destination. We brought our dog and walks along the river and up the valley were lovely. The Ferry Inn pub is a very short walk away (allows dogs) and has wonderful riverside seating. Poppit Sands is also very close and great for kids, but there are also some stunningly beautiful coves/beaches nearby along the coast. We would definitely stay at Cae’r Aber again!”

“We loved our stay here. The cottage was cute and there was everything we needed for our week stay. We could walk from the cottage so did not need to drive each day. Excellent fish & chips at St Dogmaels. Lovely view over the estuary. The bed was super comfy. Highly recommend.”

“What a lovely little house in beautiful St Dogmaels. Numerous pretty walks from the doorstep through the woods and fields or down by the river. Poppit Sands is only a walk away with access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, the Ferry Inn pub at the end of the road is excellent and we stocked up at St Dogmaels market on the Tuesday, which has lovely local produce. Many other pretty places to visit nearby too. Overall a restful place to stay, with everything you need, in an idyllic setting.”

“This little cottage looking out over the Teifi estuary is a delight to stay in, rest in and walk from. The sounds of curlew, oystercatchers, crows, goldfinch and magpie are almost the only sounds heard. Just lovely.”

“A lovely characterful little place to stay, quiet, warm, clean and comfortable. I had everything I needed for my stay, I loved the sensitive decor and paintings and pottery. The views from the cottage are really soothing not to mention the small wooded area which it backs onto, giving access to some pleasant quaint little footpaths and a plethora of birds , flora and fauna.
I could easily have stayed longer, I felt very at home. Really handy for exploring Cardigan Bay and Pembrokeshire.
I hope to return soon. Thank you.”

“Totally perfect. I wanted to move in, in fact I think I did. Hubby would have been happy to leave me there. The cottage was just perfect. Huge thanks to David the owner for looking after us, the Christmas tree and wine and logs. And to the Caretaker Linda for such a well kept cottage. Would definitely book again. Surrounding area is beautiful and we walked to Cardigan one day, about a 25 min walk. Poppit sands is lovely and close, and the local pub lovely. Great base to explore from.”

Within walking distance to Poppit sands and several places to eat , and the small but well stocked shop.
Lovely views of the estuary from the windows & cottage garden..

“Absolutely idyllic cosy cottage. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat and a noise free slumber look no further. Quirky quaint little touches add to its charm. Clean and very comfortable with lots of extras provided for cozy nights in by the log burner such as dvds and your classic board games as well as a good selection of books and novels, two of which my wife devoured during our stay! Please check out the fantastic ‘ ferry inn’ pub just over the road with its outside jetty overlooking the estuary that transports you to the coast and it’s beauty. The welcome (and extremely dog friendly!) the ambiance and oh my word! The food is just a hidden treasure that will wow you and you will become an instant regular! It was our first visit to wales and the cottage and this gorgeous little place left us wanting more. Poppit sands within walking distance and a perfect place to introduce our little pooch to the beach and her first swim on the doorstep! Can’t wait to come back ! Can’t recommend this place enough. Perfect!”
