Period townhouse in Tregaron. Fantastic location surrounded by many attractions, wildlife and the stunning Cambrian Mountains. Great area for walking. (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms)

Brynteg is a detached Edwardian town house, standing proud in the delightful town of Tregaron.

Brynteg has been refurbished to provide top quality accommodation with all modern conveniences. Great care has been taken to preserve its original character with the classic bay windows and oak floors.

Decorated to the highest standards, rooms are light and airy, making the most of the natural light. The living area has been opened up to lighten the building and highlight the beautiful bay windows which are a key feature of the building.

Tregaron is steeped in local history and culture and on the main square stands a statue of Henry Richard who was the ‘Apostle of Peace’ and Twm Sion Cati described locally as the Welsh Robin Hood. There is a town trail named after ‘Twm’ that takes you to locations directly linked to him. We have Joseph Jenkins ‘The Welsh Swagman’ who lived at our family farm Trecefel 1818-98.

Nearby Cors Caron (Tregaron Bog), is known for its adders, buzzards, red kites, and polecats. It is the largest raised bog in Britain and of international importance and a nature reserve since 1955. Close to the Cambrian Mountains Astro Trail, with Hostel Ty’n y Cornel, Llanddewi Brefi being the closest Dark Sky Discovery Site. The River Brenig flows through the town centre and joins the River Teifi which is noted for its brown trout. Stone’s throw from the property is the children’s play area and adjoining playing field.

The area is a paradise for ramblers with walks from your doorstep to the unspoilt upland scenery. Rhiannon Celtic Design Centre is an outstanding showcase of all that is best in Welsh jewellery, arts and crafts.

The best secret about Tregaron is that it still remains a hidden gem. The peace and tranquillity of the mountains joined with the friendly atmosphere of the locals and the award-winning bar and restaurant at The Talbot will make your stay an enjoyable one.
