“The cottage we have been searching for! A perfect get away from the noise and busyness of regular life. We absolutely loved the tranquil surroundings and the beautiful setting. The cottage was so cosy and welcoming with delicious welsh cakes to greet us as we entered. The sofa and bed were comfortable and the whole cottage just felt like home. There was plenty of firewood for the log burner in the evenings. The bath in the bedroom was a real treat and just added to the total relaxation of the weekend. Sitting on the bench in the field by the cottage in the mornig sunshine with a mug of tea was heavenly! We visited New Quay and went on a dolphin spotting boat trip which was great fun and went to Newcastle Emlyn for a delicious Thai meal. We will definitely be booking this beautiful cottage again as we're missing it already!”

“We had a lovely stay in Bryn-y-gof cottage. The field out the gate was perfect for our dogs to run around in. The roll top bath was luxurious and we loved building a fire in the log burner. It was great to have internet too and to be able to use Netflix! We loved all the rustic features and it was a very cosy and romantic cottage.”

“A very pleasant cottage in a nice quite location. Kitchen was well stocked and clean, as was all the cottage. We would come again and next time bring the dogs as appeared to be dog friendly with a nice entrance area to store wet towels and muddy boots if needed.”

“We really enjoyed staying at the cottage , particularly relaxing after a days walking in front of the wood burner.

The cottage has everything you will need and it is located close to lovely walks and New Quay. However you will need a car.

I would definitely recommend the cottage and will be booking again”

“A charming cottage with lots of original details and vintage decor. The secure garden was perfect for us as dog owners as was the huge meadow through the gate.
A real secret hideaway where you can relax in front of the woodburner or soak in the bath watching the squirrels in the field.
A real find and we loved it.”

“Bryn-y-gof was a lovely destination to spend our honeymoon. The wood burner was great and gave the living room a wonderful and homely feel.

The open plan design really gives a great feel to the whole place and the owners were accommodating and thoughtful, leaving a bag of extra wood for us without us even knowing!”

“Bryn y Gof was a wonderful place to stay. The peace and quiet was just what we needed. The cottage is well equipped and the generous provision of logs for the log burner was very welcome. We loved all the vintage items which added to the atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and spoiled us....we've decided to buy a mattress topper for our own bed!
The places of interest a short drive from the cottage kept us busy and the information pack at the cottage was very helpful.
Thank you for a lovely holiday!”

“Lovely cosy cottage in quiet location . The cottage has everything you need for a short or long break . The owners are very welcoming and thoughtful . There is a lovely walk from the cottage to the coast path and from there to New Quay . If you time it right you can catch the Cardi Bach bus back to a nearby village and walk the short distance back to the cottage .”

“The cottage is a beautifully presented and cosy property. The bed was very comfortable, the living room was a lovely and quiet space for our downtime and the kitchen was packed with all appliances and utensils needed for our self-catering stay! My wife spent some time every night in a luxury bubble bath (in the beautifully-traditional skipper bath) and I spent every night lighting the log burner (even though central heating was available too). The cottage is a 20 minute drive from New Quay, less than 10 minutes from Llangranog and only a short drive from Cardigan and Aberporth. Set away from any surrounding busy roads, but directed perfectly by the cottage's owners!

We would definitely recommend a stay here for a relaxing, cosy and romantic getaway!”

“A perfect holiday break, in a beautiful cottage in a super part of West Wales. We loved it and so did our dog. The field next to the cottage was a God send! The weather was glorious and so added to the occasion. A pub within walking distance (1 mile). What more can you ask for?”

“We had a wonderful stay at Bryn-y-Gof which is a romantic get away for couples or friends who wish to explore the beautiful surrounding area. The cottage was of a very high standard and was extremely well equipped compared to any other cottage we have ever stayed at. There was everything that we needed...even tin foil!! The cottage was clean, warm and cozy with the fire prepared for us to light on arrival. The original features and history of the cottage are very well kept and we found the bed very comfortable. It is a perfect place to relax in the peace and quiet and an opportunity to unwind from the stress of everyday life. The enclosed garden area was perfect for our two dogs and the views across the fields with grazing sheep were a delight to wake up to each morning. There is lots to do in the surrounding area and plenty of helpful suggestions made by the owners. We took their advice and found the sunset at Langrannog beach a stunning memory which we will never forget. Overall, our holiday was pleasantly memorable with many special photographs to treasure. We already plan to return to the cottage in the very near future. Thank You.”

“A delightful little bolthole to hide away from the world and forget the stresses of eveyday life. With the fire lit and a good film on the living room is absolutely perfect. Once in bed there is nothing more atmospheric than falling asleep to the sounds of a crackling fire and settling embers. We would highly recommend the cottage and have every intention of visiting again.”

The log fire was so warm and we loved the roll top bath in the bedroom. Everything you needed was there. An exceptional place to stay. Our dog Nila loved it. She has never stayed anywhere before and she was perfect. She settled in so well. To marks to the owners. Really glad we had directions to get there though!”

The log burner & open fire in bedroom along with slipper bath make it really special. But it is so much more than that, every little details has been careful considered, every aspect of decor and design to take you back in time. We absolutely loved it here and without doubt are planning to come again. Thank you so much.”

“What a hidden gem this is! We had a super 2 weeks here, fab weather. Lots to do, dolphin and seal spotting, Pretty Llangrannog and Aberporth. Fell across a woollen mill and sculpture heaven, please go and visit, gardens amazing. The cottage is so quaint and comfy & waking up to views over the fields with the smell of outdoors has been so refreshing. Most nights we stayed in, lit candles, lit the fire, just sat & read or listened to the radio. A million miles away from home. Thanks Norma & James for sharing this place! & not forgetting superb bath!”

“Perfect escape from the stresses and strains of daily life. Wonderful coastal walks, barely a soul in sight, Long soaks in the bath in front of roaring log fire with a glass of wine and then sleeping in a VERY comfortable bed, perfect! The cottage is beautiful, thoughtfully designed with care and attention. Kitchen well-equipped for cooking and plenty of logs to keep warm. Norma & James are possibly the friendliest and most accommodating owners we have come across. In fact we liked it so much we stayed longer!”

“Dear Norma & James, thanks for letting us stay at Bryn-y-Gof again and to allow us to recharge and get close again. It was our 25th Wedding anniversary and we could not think of a better way to celebrate it. Again we enjoyed the cosy, serene comfort of the cottage and have slept in front of the fire again! See you soon.”

“As a last minute impromptu winter getaway it seems we have found a jewel. Absolutely perfect and can't wait to return. It really has been all about that wonderful fireside bath. The warm loving kind welcome set the scene so well, thank you. The cottage is so beautiful and everything anyone could need is here. 2 nights are not enough. But on one day we visited 2 lovely beaches, enjoyed wonderful roads and countryside and had delicious ice-creams! It is so easy to fall in love with a place that has been hand crafted and is cared for with so much thought & love, Thank you”

Fiona and Ian, Feb 2014

“Another year and another wonderful weekend! It has been absolutely blowing a gale, pouring with rain, so the fires and bath were even more cosy than usual. A trip to Aberaeron is a must as well as New Quay with lunch in the Hungry Trout. Coming here has marked so many milestones in our life together and as we hoped last year this year there are 3 of us, albeit our little chummy is still in the tummy!!. Sitting here trying to think of an excuse that our bosses will believe so we can stay all week... See you again next year”

Gem and Phill (and Chummy), Jan 2014

“Just what the Dr ordered, a few days of peace, tranquility and beauty. Perfect weather, thank you”
