Bryn Helyg is a light and airy Welsh-made yurt, ideal for families (or for couples) wanting a short glamping break in rural surroundings. It's situated on Penybanc Farm, a 40 acre organic smallholding where the counties of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion meet, close to the river Teifi and only 25 to 30 minutes from the coast.

Bryn Helyg is of the same style and quality as the existing three yurts on Penybanc Farm, but slightly larger - 18ft rather than 16ft. It lives at the top of our tipi flower meadow, adjacent to the willow plantation, about 300 metres from the farmyard buildings.

The local village and its two pubs are within walking distance (1 - 2 miles), as is the National Woollen Museum of Wales.

Art workshops and organic veg boxes can be pre-booked, also on-site reflexology treatments available from an experienced, qualified and insured therapist. Treatments need to be pre-booked with the owner of Bryn Helyg yurt. We also run a bike hire service, and guiding if you wish. We’ve a range of bikes for those that are used to using specialised mountain bikes and those who prefer the comfy saddle sort. There is also a bike skills park onsite; book in advance for training in BMX and mountain biking techniques while you are here.

Bryn Helyg sleeps 4 in one comfortable double bed and two singles. There is room for a travel cot.

The yurt is furnished with vintage rugs and throws and quirky wooden furniture. There are tealights and battery lanterns and it is heated with an efficient woodburner. A stable door and window allow extra light to flood in.

There is a toilet with its own little bridge nestled in the willow. Shower facilities are to be found in the eco shepherd's hut at the top of the meadow or in the farm buildings. A service wash can be provided in the farmhouse on request.

On the deck there is seating, a table and a barbecue. Parking on hard standing by entrance to field. Open views and friendly onsite pets. Safe bike storage. The woodfired hot tub can be reserved for your own use by arrangement with the owners, but it is on a first come, first served basis.
