Here are our holiday cottages in the Preseli Hills. Staying in one of these, you will be overwhelmed by the diversity of the countryside in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There are green, wooded valleys, rushing rivers or streams and wild, rugged hillsides covered in splashes of yellow gorse and purple heather in late summer.
You can walk the Golden Road, an ancient track believed to date from 5 thousand years ago, spotting burial cairns from the Bronze Age and Iron Age hill forts as you go. There are stone circles and many sites feature in the legends of King Arthur. The outcrops of rock at Carn Meini are thought to be the source of the bluestones of Stonehenge.
There’s mountain biking as well as pony trekking and always a chance to spot some interesting bird life. Head down from the hills to the many and various beaches and you’ve found the best of both worlds.
