Pembroke holiday cottages, situated in and around the pretty small town on the banks of the River Cleddau, are in the centre of an area which provides many attractions for visitors. However, if you are looking for cottages within the county of Pembrokeshire rather than the town of Pembroke, please see our page for Pembrokeshire cottages.
Staying at one of our Pembroke holiday cottages, you will be around 20 minutes’ drive from Tenby or Haverfordwest and also within reach of many sandy beaches such as Barafundle and Freshwater West. For your self-catering needs, there are small supermarkets in Pembroke and a large one in neighbouring Pembroke Dock.
Much of the surrounding area comes within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the town itself was declared a conservation area in 1977. It has a very well-restored Norman castle which occupies a particularly splendid position high on a rocky ridge with the estuary curving around it on three sides. You can get a good view of the town from up here, and descend to the main street to browse in the shops or take refreshments in one of the pubs or cafes. There are lots of events at the castle such as re-enactments, falconry and circus days. For fans of castles, you can also visit nearby Carew and Manorbier.
