Gwbert lies at the most southerly coastal point of Ceredigion and boasts spectacular views over Cardigan Bay and south towards Poppit sands. Here you can see the rugged coastline of Ceredigion at its best and bask in some spectacular sunsets that rival many.

The Ceredigion Coast path passes through Gwbert snaking inland slightly and takes miles of breath taking scenery. The coastline around Gwbert is part of Ceredigion Heritage Coast, a protected area running from Gwbert northwards to Aberystwyth. It has been designated a Special Area of Conservation. Cardigan Island sits just off the coast at Gwbert, which is in Cardigan Bay Special Area for Conservation. Avid birdwatchers can see Herring Gulls, Guillemot, Chough, Fulmar, Shag, Oystercatcher, Raven, and Rock Pipit. Canada and Barnacle Geese also use the island. Grey Seals breed in the sea caves.
