The village is best known for the iron bridge and named after the legend of the Devil and Megan, a local woman who outwitted him. The bridge is one of three which still span the River Mynach, each being built above the previous one.

Devil’s Bridge has been a tourist attraction for centuries, more recently drawing those who appreciate the nearby nature trail, waterfalls and historic steam railway. It is also the setting for BBC One’s successful TV drama Hinterland.

As well as being surrounded by stunning countryside, there is easy access to the main coast road where you can explore the Ceredigion Coast Path and discover sandy coves and beaches and breath-taking wildlife.
