The properties listed below are our holiday cottages near pubs - each one is within 1 mile of the nearest pub. Take a break here with a group of friends and family and you will be able to stroll down to the local for a pint or a glass of wine in the evening. Staying in a cottage near a pub means it’s just a walk home after sampling the real ale - some pubs even have a microbrewery on the premises: for example the Nag’s Head in Abercych, or the smallest brewery in Wales at the Tynllidiart Arms just outside Aberystwyth.
Popular ales brewed in West Wales are Felinfoel from Llanelli, famous for its Double Dragon ale and Evan Evans of Llandeilo, which brews several including Cwrw (pronounced cooroo, it means ‘beer’ in Welsh). From a bit further afield are brews from Brains, Cardiff and Tomos Watkin, Swansea - which has a great range including Cwrw Haf (pronounced harv, it means ‘summer’) and the delicious Taffy Apples cider.
Of course many pubs serve good food as well, so why not give self catering a break for a couple of evenings and treat yourselves to a meal out?
