Set in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside our cosy cottage for two, with parts dating back to the 16th century, makes a delightful place to retreat to after your day exploring this wonderful part of the world. The beautiful Preseli Hills form the backdrop to our 6.5 acre garden, where you can wander at leisure after a day of sightseeing or just sit with a glass of wine and listen to the birds.

We have created a wildlife garden, a peaceful haven where our guests are able to leave the 21st Century behind and contemplate the bounty that Mother Nature has to offer. Our cottage will appeal to gardeners, artists, photographers, birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates the glory of nature. We have a beautiful hay meadow, a wooded dingle and a large range of plants, and many seats for you to sit and ponder a while.

We are in a rural setting where there are no streetlights, making it a wonderful place to stargaze on clear nights. Yet a short drive takes you to the market town of Cardigan with its castle, shops, markets, pubs and theatres/cinema and Newport with its pubs and restaurants. Beautiful beaches and the coastal path are just a 15 minute drive away.

The mystical Preseli Hills are rich in sacred and historic sites, including bluestones (we even have some of our own in the garden), stone circles, standing stones and other prehistoric remains and are ideal for scenic walking away from the coast. The Preselis are a world away from any other area of Pembrokeshire and although quite small in area, they feel remote and are a wonderful place to get away from it all.

We love where we live and we enjoy welcoming kindred spirits, many of whom return year after year and we now consider them as our friends. We hope you will choose to stay with us and we look forward to meeting you.

Bro Meigan Cottage sleeps 2 in a king size bed. The split level, single story accommodation attached to the owners’ house has its own driveway and private entrance.

Bedroom: king size bed, bedroom furniture
En suite bathroom: bath, separate electric shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin
Sitting room: 3-seater sofa and chair, large inglenook fireplace, woodburning stove, 32” flatscreen TV, DVD player and coffee table. Several stairs lead up to the kitchen
Kitchen: electric cooker with ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, breakfast table and chairs
Rear hall/cloakroom: additional WC

Garden room: this delightful sitting room is just a few steps away from the cottage and situated in the end of a 300 year old stone cowshed. With comfy sofa, breakfast table and chairs and lots of games and books, it has views out over the garden to the hills beyond and is the perfect place to relax at any time of the day.

The 6.5-acre garden was itself a popular visitor attraction for over 20 years. In 2015 it was included in Tony Russell's book The Finest Gardens in Wales and also featured in the Daily Mirror as one of Pembrokeshire's hidden gems. The garden is now closed to the general public and is for the exclusive use of ourselves and our cottage guests. There is no view over the garden from inside of the cottage so outside furniture (patio table and chairs, reclining loungers, BBQ, etc.) is available to enable guests to take advantage of the beautiful views of the garden and Preseli Hills beyond. Driveway parking.
