Llyn Y Fan Fach
Llyn Y Fan Fach in English translates to ‘little lake near the peak’ however, once casting your eyes on this lake, it is anything but little. This lake lies on the northern margin of the Black Mountain in Carmarthenshire, whilst also lying within the Brecon Beacons National Park. If you and your partner are avid walkers, then this location is the best spot for you guys to spend Valentine’s Day, with many footpaths running through the area, you are on track to see some of the most beautiful views. Once arriving at the natural wild water sanctuary which graces an 18-metre-deep pool, if you are brave enough to face the cold water, you can take a swim.
Bosherston Lily Ponds
Bosherston Lily Ponds is one of the most scenic circular walks that Wales has to offer and don’t worry it leads you to the stunning Broad Haven south beach as well – which is definitely worth a little detour from the walk. While the walk does take around 40 minutes to the beach it is not a strenuous trek, instead, it is a lovely leisurely walk for you to take in the incredible lily pond.
