“Really cosy, great location and surroundings, friendly host. Would certainly come again or recommend it.”Feedback - Nov 2020
“Beautiful cottage in a lovely remote peaceful location. Free range chickens, pigs and ducklings wandering around outside the cottage, which added to the charm. Rachel and Jason are lovely hosts, even their dogs came over to greet use. Cottage is warm and cosy and well equipped, ideal for a couple with 2 small dogs, small enclosed patio area, lovely walking trails through the forest”Feedback - Aug 2020
“Blaenfforest was a beautiful escape and the perfect place to recharge the batteries. The cottage was so cozy and exactly what we needed, the hot tub being an added bonus! The welcome hamper was really thoughtful and went down a treat. Rachel was a great host not intrusive but always on hand if you had any questions. It’s the perfect place to get away from it all.”Feedback - Dec 2019
“Stayed at Blaenfforest Cottage with my wife and our pet dog Murphy. The photographs certainly don’t lie.Feedback - Nov 2019
It was an absolute heavenly break set in the stunning Welsh countryside. The Woodland walk was such a relaxing stroll where you hear nothing but the flowing stream and birdsong.
It’s a perfect setting, as we went ‘out of season’ we had a choice of plenty of blue flag beaches to walk Murphy and he loved it.
Rachel and Jason were perfect hosts, uninstrusive yet very helpful.
We definitely hope to return.”
“We stayed in Blaenfforest Cottagefor two weeks in October, and it was delightful. It is small, but well planned. The colour scheme is soothing, the effect rustic but stylish, and the bed supremely comfortable. The kitchen has a very up-to-date coffee machine and microwave as well as the basics of cooker and fridge freezer. The welcome basket provided by Rachel contained wonderful local cheese and eggs, as well as other delicacies, and was a lovely touch. Rachel and Jason are the ideal hosts - friendly, knowledgeable, available when necessary and never intrusive.Feedback - Sep 2019
Although Blaenfforest Cottage is situated deep in glorious countryside, it is only about five minutes’ drive from Newcastle Emlyn. The town and surrounding district are very dog friendly, with lots of welcoming pubs and restaurants, serving excellent quality food. The town itself is well served with shops and other facilities, and I liked it very much. The cottage backs onto lovely woodland which is wonderful for dog walking, and if you like peace and quiet, you will certainly find it here. No traffic noise, no street lights, just the sound of the birds and the wind in the trees. Wonderful!”
“I fully endorse all the previous good reviews of this cottage. Didn't want to leave”Feedback - Sep 2019

“It is so refreshing for a property to be exactly as advertised! The owners were so lovely from very first contact and gave us all the information we needed for a truly wonderful stay. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and the handwritten note was really a lovely touch. The cottage itself was so cosy and had everything we needed and more and spotlessly clean. The hot tub is perfect, so clean, it was nice to know it gets emptied and refilled for each new guests. Sitting in the middle of the trees in the hot tub with a glass of fizz was a perfect way to end our days of exploring. Both of our Dogs had a great time exploring the grounds, this is the first place we have stayed that has actually been dog friendly! Most places we have had to keep the dogs on the lead and have been restricted with rooms they are allowed to be in (one place they were only allowed in the kitchen!!). To have the opportunity to explore all of the grounds was great, we felt a huge sense of freedom which was lovely. We cannot wait to come back.”Feedback - Jan 2019

“Absolutely loved our stay, the location is amazing for a break away from normal life. With the roaming of ducks and micro pigs our dog was very entertained and loved having walks around the forest. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and everything is thought of. Fantastic.”Feedback - Oct 2018
“Beautiful cosy cottage in very quiet location. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. The hot tub was out of this world and under cover which was a bonus. The welcome pack was superb. A lot of thought has been taken by Rachel in ensuring an enjoyable holiday is had by her guests. Could not fault anything.”Feedback - Oct 2018
“We absolutely loved our stay, and will definitely be returning in the future! Rachel was an excellent host, and we were made to feel very welcome. The Granary was kitted out with everything we should need, and absolutely spotless! We meant to explore the surrounding countryside more than we did, but the Granary was so comfortable we ended up spending a lot of time there and in the amazing hot tub. It truly felt like a home away from home and next time we'll make sure we stay for longer.Feedback - Oct 2018
It was amazing to stay somewhere with such a well equipped kitchen (I was slightly jealous!) and it was so relaxing to be able to sit in front of the fire in the evening.
Thank you so much for such a relaxing and comfortable stay!

“We stayed at the cottage in Dec before Xmas and it more than exceeded our expectations! It was clean, comfortable, the hosts were so accommodating. We luved the hot tub and the peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect weekend to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We walked into the local town which we found lovely too, you could drive it but we enjoyed the 2 mile walk with the dog. Can't fault it and all the extras we were given like the wine, waffles, toiletries and even the dog had some biscuits given to her. Will most definitely be returning in the near future.”Feedback - Dec 2016

“Very comfy cottage with comfy bed aswell which was a bonus. Very peaceful surroundings. Very relaxing and owners made us feel very welcome, loved the extra touches. Hot tub was a bonus but loved it anyway. Will definately be back, a lot more to do in the area.”Feedback - Aug 2014
“A very delightful location, a beautiful little cottage, good kitchen, good bathroom great shower, comfortable living room with decent leather settee and armchair. The cottage comes with its own Hot Tub in a modern outdoor room. Lots of Peacocks and Guinea Fowl strutting around, the owners breed them, they also have an Aviary, hens, (will supply fresh eggs), ducks and sheep. There is a woodland walk with a stream running through it and a very well maintained and pretty garden with a wildlife pond. The whole is run by a very friendly couple, Sally and Russell ( whose names are coincidently the same as are two children) who seem to have thought of just about everything to make your stay unique, to be highly recommended, Brenda and Mike Rose”Feedback - Jul 2014

“Most enjoyable week, reminded us of our childhood being brought up in the countryside. It is wonderful to know these places still exist. ”D & T Surrey
“Next week the cock crowing will be replaced by mobile phones ringing, the tailback due to the overturned lorry rather than cows crossing and a Boeing 747 will replace the Red Kite. I think we’ve got it wrong and you’ve got it right. Thank you for having us as guests in your delightful cottage . ”N & P Staffs
“Had a most wonderful week in this beautiful and peaceful cottage. The animals being an added bonus. Have enjoyed sitting out in the evenings and would advise all to try it, watching the bats flitting about has been wonderful, also being able to watch the night sky and pick out the constellations and planets has been fantastic. Thank you. ”S & S London.
