“What a gorgeous, tasteful, well equipped cottage this is. We loved the welcoming touches like wine and Welsh cakes and plenty of towels and bedding. Nothing was left to chance and we were made to feel very welcome.
The cottage is so well located to access this lovely little town and all it has to offer.
We had a fabulous Christmas - thanks you so much for making it special for us.”

“This was the best cottage we have stayed in! In the middle of the village but so quiet and private and within easy reach of beautiful walks. The garden is lovely and the house itself was beautiful with stylish, quality furnishings and appliances. We loved our stay here and the owner was very welcoming, easy to communicate with and left goodies for us to begin our holiday. In a word, charming!”

“We loved our stay, would go back in a heartbeat. Newport is so handy for everything, and especially dog friendly. Lucy, the owner, was particularly helpful.”

“Berriman Cottage is an hidden gem right in the middle of Newport. The extensive terraced garden is thoughtfully landscaped and leads to a wooded area that gives an impression of being in open countryside. The front of the cottage is an ideal place to enjoy morning coffee.
The cottage is tastefully decorated in a simple style that enhances the ambience of the listed building. The galley style kitchen is well equipped to a high specification and is a dream to use, whether for light snacks, or three course dinners.
We stayed in early March during a cold and stormy period. The central heating works efficiently and the easy to use wood burner is an added bonus to enjoy during the evenings.
Just 2 minutes away you will find a high quality butcher, an artisan bakery and a wholefood shop-deli that supplies the best locally sourced produce.
Newport is a lovely, friendly Welsh seaside town and Berriman Cottage is an excellent base, tucked in among the interesing narrow streets and unspoilt character of a bygone age.”

“We had a fabulous stay at Berriman cottage over the New Year. The cottage was warm, cosy and thoughtfully presented. It was really well equipped for our family and in a great location for the village. We already knew Newport well, having been visiting here for many many years, so being only a stone's throw from the village's great pubs, cafes, restaurants, butcher and grocers was a real treat. The cottage is brilliantly located for both the coastal path and footpaths onto Carningli mountain. With so many walks from the door step, we hardly used the car (and that was with two chdren in tow!) Lucy was a great source of information and a very friendly welcome on arrival. We are already looking forward to our next visit.”
