Access statement for Berriman Cottage

The cottage can be reached by bus from the direction of Haverfordwest and from the direction of Cardigan. There is Internet access in the cottage and mobile phone reception for most but not all networks.

The cottage is approached via a short brick paved drive and a slate and concrete path. There is a metal gate leading from the drive to the path. There is no parking at the property but visitors are welcome to unload and drop off at the bottom of the drive. Parking is best in the public car park in Long Street which is a 5 minute walk from the property. Other street parking may be available in Parrog Road (5 minutes) and in Market Street (3 minutes).

The garden is made up of a series of stone steps and patio areas. It rises uphill to a small meadow area at the top. It is mostly enclosed but not fully dog escape proof. There are handrails and outside lights throughout the garden.

All doors are 29 inches wide. Inside the property, there is a staircase rising from the living area to the bedrooms. A patio is accessible from a back door at the top of the first flight.

The bathroom is reached from the landing as are the two bedrooms. It contains a bath and a shower. One bedroom has a king size bed and one has twin beds. The bedrooms have cottage sloped ceilings.

There is a TV with remote control and ‘digital’ box as well as a DVD player and music system.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a range-style cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.
