Glamp it up in a bentwood middle-east come Crimea-era inspired yurt, complete with romantic wrought iron bedstead, traditional rugs, copper-topped tables, chests and a wood-burning stove. The yurt is perfect for a couple but can sleep two small children as well.
The yurt is located on a 40 acre organic smallholding where the counties of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion meet, close to the river Teifi and only 25 minutes from the coast. There will always be fruit, vegetables, preserves or pre-prepared meals for sale.
The local village and its two pubs are within walking distance, as is the National Woollen Museum of Wales. Hire a bike on-site to explore the area or try out the mountain bike trails at Brechfa forest.
Accommodation
The inside of the yurt evokes plenty of charm and stays warm and cosy thanks to the wood-burner, rugs and Welsh woollen blankets.
The Yurt sleeps up to 3, the double bedstead and proper mattress means no comfort is sacrificed here. A childs bed is provided and a travel cot is available on request.
Period furniture adds to the charm. The steamed wood is strung with solar powered fairy lights and lanterns provide more specific light requirements.
A two-ring gas hob allows for cooking modest meals and all equipment is provided. Whilst a BBQ and outdoor dining set allow for eating al fresco.
The nearest toilet and sink facilities (compost loo) are a short 100 metre walk into the Orchard garden. Two under-floor heated shower rooms are located within the Old Dairy facilities only 200 metres away.
Outside
The Yurt sits in an elevated position (with no neighbours) offering unspoilt views of the hilly landscape for at least 20 miles. Ancient hedgerows, orchard trees and wild flowers surround the area where the yurt sits.
