Ysgol Hill Cottage near Rosebush stands in a 16 acre smallholding on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Nestled beneath Foel Cwmceryn, the highest point of the Preseli Hills where the bluestones of Stonehenge originated, this romantic cottage for two has panoramic views looking south over rolling countryside.
There are walks from the door with numerous trails, paths and bridleways nearby. Newport Sands Beach is just 9 miles away and a short drive gets you to anywhere on the spectacular Pembrokeshire coast.
There are two villages within about 10 minutes walk: Rosebush and Maenclochog. In Rosebush, there are two pubs that both serve food and a cheese shop. In Maenclochog, there are two general stores and another pub.
Ysgol Hill Cottage is beautifully converted from an old milking parlour and finished to a very high standard, making it individual, cosy and welcoming. When you are not out and about enjoying the bluestone countryside, you can relax in comfort in front of the blazing fire or stare at the beautiful view from the window.
Accommodation
Ysgol Hill Cottage sleeps 2 in one bedroom with a king-size bed with duvet. The bathroom has a shower, WC and wash basin. All the accommodation is on the ground floor.
The large high-ceilinged lounge has a wood-burning stove (free firewood supplied), a large sofa bed, armchair and flatscreen Freeview TV with DVD player. In one corner is a gate leg dining table and chairs.
The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob and cooker, fridge, washing machine, microwave and toaster.
Underfloor heating warms the Welsh slate floors of the kitchen and bathroom, and radiators warm the bedroom, ensuring the cottage is cosy all year round.
We are happy to provide free eggs from our smallholding - when the chickens oblige!
