Y Beudy (The Calf Suite in Welsh) is one of ten holiday cottages sited on Bryncarnedd, once an important dairy farm providing milk to Aberystwyth. The accommodation has been sympathetically converted into well appointed self-catering cottages.
Y Beudy has been converted from the original milking parlour with care and attention to detail, providing luxurious fittings. It sleeps up to five adults in two bedrooms each with en-suite facilities. Bedroom one has a double bed and a single bed. Bedroom two has twin beds. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, one has a Jacuzzi bath and the other has a shower.
The cottage has an open plan layout which enables you to cook, eat and live in a bright, airy environment, making the most of your valuable time together. To keep you cozy in the colder months the cottage has under floor heating and radiators that can be controlled and if it's not warm enough to sit outside indoor entertainment is taken care of with a Freeview TV, DVD player, radio with an mp3 dock and a CD player.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an integrated dishwasher and fridge freezer, electric cooker and microwave and it has plenty of cooking and dining equipment.
Also available for guests' use is a safe, secure children's play area and a washing machine and dryer. There is a barbeque available for you to use, just ask! Y Beudy has its own reserved parking space and additional spaces are provided in the communal car park. Towels and bed linen are provided.
The closest town is Aberystwyth, about a 15-20 minute walk from the cottages, although there are regular buses from the lane. The town itself is a vibrant mix of old and new. Aberystwyth Castle, now in ruins, dominates the seafront. The town has become an academic and cultural centre with the University and the National Library of Wales. There are many other interesting towns and villages within a short drive such as Devil's Bridge, Llywernog Silver lead mine and the nature reserve in Nant yr Arian where you can see red kites. In the cottage there is a file containing local information. Every effort has been made to provide you with a comfortable, contemporary base as you explore all that Ceredigion has to offer.
The other cottages in this group are Ty Gwair and Y Llaethdy and Y Parlwr Godro and Y Sgubor and Y Grawndy. Interested in booking more than one cottage? See the Group Availability Table.
