Have a break from driving on holiday! Situated 10 minutes walk from Newport’s Parrog beach and next to a lane leading up to Carningli mountain, Uplands has the advantage of being in central Newport. The house is close to shops, pubs, restaurants and the main bus route, yet benefits from a large quiet private garden.
Newport is popular with families, walkers and boat owners. With three pubs, a boat club and several restaurants and cafes, there is a wide choice of family friendly places to eat and drink. The beach is ideal for beach games and is backed by sand dunes and a golf course. Nearby is the Iron Age Fort of Castell Henllys and also a Shire Horse farm, both of which provide interesting and enjoyable days out without having to venture too far.
Accommodation
Uplands, a Victorian stone semi-detached house, sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. On the first floor is a superking sized bedroom, a double bedroom and a room with twin beds. The good sized bathroom on this floor has a bath, toilet and wash basin. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with a door onto the patio.
The house has retained many of its original features, including quarry tiled hallway and cast iron tiled open fireplace. The comfortable lounge has a TV and DVD player. The dining room seats 8 and the well equipped kitchen includes an electric cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Also on the ground floor is a large conservatory, a utility room with washing machine and freezer and a wet room with shower, toilet and wash basin.
Outside
There is a good sized gravel front garden with table and bench. To the rear is a large patio area with table and chairs and barbecue (a real suntrap!) Steps lead up to a large lawned area with patio and table and chairs. All outside areas are enclosed. Parking is on the lane outside the house or (by arrangement) private car park 25 metres from the house.
