Ty Bet is in the middle of the St Davids peninsula, about 3 miles from Solva harbour and Newgale beach to the south and the same from the rugged north coast with its rocky harbours at Porth Gain and Abercastle. It’s a great place to explore the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, with many miles of path within easy reach, and to see seals, choughs and a host of other wild life.
We’re 5 miles from the cathedral city of St Davids. Ty Bet (Bet’s House) is on the edge of the small, quiet village of Llandeloy, close to its famous church and with views over the surrounding fields. It’s a 200 year old solid stone converted smithy, extended to provide comfortable and cosy accommodation with modern amenities.
As well as sandy beaches and rocky cliffs and coves, the local area has many attractions: quiet pubs, excellent restaurants, galleries, potteries, castles and so much more. We know and love the area and provide a file of maps, leaflets and suggestions to help you plan your ideal holiday.
Accommodation
Ty Bet sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms.
The ground floor has a double bedroom with wardrobe and chest-of-drawers. The bathroom has bath and shower, airing cupboard, heated towel rail and tumble drier.
The fully fitted kitchen has a ceramic hob and electric oven, washing machine, microwave, fridge, toaster etc. Behind is the dining area which seats 6 at a large wooden table.
On the first floor is the large lounge with views over the surrounding fields. This has two sofas, tables, wood-burning stove, wall mounted TV with Sky package, MP3 dock and WiFi access, and a supply of games and books.
The second large bedroom with king-size bed is accessed through the lounge, with wardrobe, chest-of-drawers, etc.
The house has been refurbished with quality furniture and decoration, and with many pictures by local artists. It’s designed to provide a comfortable and civilized environment for the perfect stay.
Outside
The garden to the rear of the house is accessed through the dining area. It consists of a paved courtyard with flower bed, trees and planters surrounding, with table, sun shade, chairs and recliners. It is securely fenced with access to a side lane. Cars can be parked on the road fronting the house. We also provide a barbeque and lots of beach equipment (bats, balls, buckets and spades) to keep you amused.
