Ty Bach Twt is a small but high quality cottage situated ABOUT 10 MINUTES WALK FROM THE BEACH in the centre of the picturesque and peaceful coastal village of Llansteffan. Llansteffan is one of the ‘hidden gems’ of Wales: a tranquil village on the west bank of the Towy estuary, overlooked by the ruins of a twelfth century Norman castle, with beautiful sandy beaches. There is a large choice of routes for country walks and with its huge tidal range, Llansteffan is a great place for bird watching particularly the marine wading birds. The village is an excellent central base for exploring most of southwest Wales, from the Gower Peninsular, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to Cardiganshire, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and to the many other attractions in this part of Wales. The county town of Carmarthen is 8 miles away. Reputedly the oldest town in Wales, it has a large choice of shops and restaurants, an indoor market, a cinema complex, leisure centre and supermarkets.

Ty Bach Twt is a modern house and has been furnished to a very high standard. It is just off the main street in the centre of the village, opposite the historic parish church. The local pub serves excellent meals and is about 50 yards away and the village shop/post office/cafe where newspapers, milk, bread, groceries and gifts can be purchased is a further 100 yards away. A high-class restaurant is just a few yards further down the road. The lovely beaches are about a ten minute walk away and there you will find a tearoom and, during the summer months, a cabin selling fish and chips. The castle is a fifteen minute walk away and well worth a visit. But don’t forget your camera! The views are stunning.

Ty Bach Twt sleeps 2 in a spacious first floor bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and reading area. A hairdryer is provided. On the ground floor of Ty Bach Twt is a sitting area with a corner sofa which can be converted into a full size double bed, a fold-up dining table with four chairs and a television with Freeview and built-in DVD/CD player. The kitchen is fitted with a washing machine /dryer, fridge with freezer compartment, two electric hobs, and a microwave combi oven. There is an ironing board and iron for guests’ use. Also located on the ground floor is a shower room with toilet and hand basin.

For cooler weather, the house has electric under-floor heating downstairs with an electric towel rail in the bathroom, and an electric convector heater upstairs. The prices include bed-linen, towels, electricity, hot water, heating, plus things like toilet paper, washing up liquid, tea towels, etc. and a welcome pack including fresh milk, bread, butter, eggs and a few other extras. Beach towels are not provided. We regret that we do not allow pets and we do not allow smoking in Ty Bach Twt. Please note that anyone sleeping on the sofa bed will have limited privacy. For young children we have a high chair available, a safety gate which can be fitted either at the top or at the bottom of the stairs and a second safety gate which fits across the front door, if you wish to leave the door open. As the house only has a shower, no bath, we also have a fold-up baby bath available. We assume that you will be bringing your own travel cot.
