Troedyrhiw is a traditional Welsh farmhouse and a must for anyone seeking peace and tranquillity with unspoilt scenery surrounded by abundance of wildlife. Situated on the Strata Florida walk, one mile from the historic Strata Florida Abbey (1164), Troedyrhiw nestles peacefully at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains. The area is paradise for ramblers and city people wishing to escape to the quiet lifestyle of the country. There is fishing available on the River Teify and Teify Lakes. The occasional farming activities take place on our adjoining hill farm Frongoch a quarter of a mile away.

Troedyrhiw is within easy reach of the village shop, post office and a pub with restaurant and live traditional Welsh music. The seaside resort of Aberystwyth is 17 miles and the Nature Reserve of Cors Caron only 5 miles drive away. This cultural area thrives with festivals such as the Aberystwyth Jazz Festival (September), the Aberystwyth Poetry Festival and the Cardigan Bay Regatta (August).

Troedyrhiw sleeps up to five in three bedrooms on the first floor, two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. Access to the bathroom is through the single bedroom. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, wash basin and toilet. On the ground floor is the well equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a separate dining room and a living room with oak flooring, a wood burner in an inglenook and TV with Sky.

There is a telephone (incoming calls only) and mobile reception. Troedyrhiw is centrally heated and all fuel including logs is provided as is bed linen and towels. A cot and high chair are available. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Outside there are chairs and table on a patio with wonderful views. There is ample parking space.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking, the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Please pay the deposit within 7 days.
