The Stable is a luxurious holiday cottage set in 2 acres of land at the quiet and peaceful Parsons Lays Farm, just a short walk from the town of Laugharne. One of three stunning holiday cottages new for this season, it has great views of the countryside and is perfect for and couples or larger families looking for a rural getaway or a romantic retreat. Laugharne is well known for its connection with the famous poet and writer Dylan Thomas who lived here with his wife at The Boat House. Today The Boat House has been refurbished as a memorial to the poet and has memorabilia, a book shop, a tea room and a viewing platform.

There are some wonderful paths surrounding the farm making The Stable ideal for walking holidays. The cottage is just 5 miles from Pendine Beach which boasts 9 miles of sand and is also a short distance from many other attractions and activities. These include Oakwood theme park, Folly Farm, horse riding, golf, quad biking, cart racing, adventure parks, the National Botanical Gardens and Ffos Las race course.

The accommodation
This beautiful cottage has one large double bedroom on the first floor making it an ideal getaway for couples but it also contains a 4ft single bed so it can also be used as family room. There is a bathroom on this floor with bath, separate shower, toilet, wash basin.

The ground floor is open plan with kitchen, dining and lounge areas. The fully equipped kitchen / dining room has integrated appliances; an electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The lounge area has comfortable seating, satellite HD-TV with DVD player, WiFi and a stereo system. There are stairs to the lower floor which is a lounge / sun room.

This wonderful sun room is completely glass fronted and has glorious views over the countryside. It has comfortable seating, satellite TV with DVD player, WiFi and a stereo system as well as large patio doors. This cottage also has under floor heating.

Outside
Each cottage has its own BBQ area with outdoor seating to fully enjoy the summer and the site also boasts a kiddie’s play area. There is also ample parking for several cars next to each cottage.

Key facts
Bed linen and towels are provided but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
All electricity and heating is included.
A cot can be provided on request.
The cottage cannot accommodate pets.
