Come and stay in our beautifully restored 17th century stone barn, The Hay Loft, and enjoy the fabulous Ceredigion countryside and its stunning beaches, wildlife and walking. This beautiful holiday cottage is situated in the quiet hamlet of Llwyndafydd, just 1 14 miles from Cwm Tydu beach. There is easy access to local beaches and the coastal path and ample walking right out the front door. We offer quality accommodation on our working organic farm where wildlife abounds. There are owls, red kites, an array of garden birds, foxes and badgers, and Pippistrelle and Brown-eared bats are clearly visible on summer evenings.

A box of Troed y Rhiw’s organic produce can be pre-ordered. Eating fresh vegetables picked from the farm is one of the highlights of a stay at Troed y Rhiw! The farm also runs regular courses in organic farming, bee-keeping, foraging and other sustainable practices. Please let us know if you would like further information on this. Visitors are invited for a farm tour or can explore the farm on their own along defined paths.

Accommodation
The Hay Loft sleeps 4 people in two ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor, a double and a twin. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. Accommodation is across two floors including a dramatic living room with exposed beams and an ash wood floor on the first floor and kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms below. There is a log burning stove in the living room, a complimentary basket of logs is provided.

The kitchen is well-equipped for those who like to cook; there is a wood-burning stove, digital TV, DVD player, stereo and a spacious living area. Bathrooms are equipped with a bath and a shower overhead. There is also a washing machine in the cottage and a dryer available on request. An extra pull out bed can be reserved for no extra charge.

Outside
The cottage has its own garden and barbecue with views of the surrounding countryside. There is off road parking for two cars.

• Bed linen and towels (but not beach towels) are included in the rental
• A cot and highchair are available on request. Please supply your own cot bedding
• The cottage is heated by underfloor heating and radiators.
• All fuel is included in the price
• A basket of logs is provided, more can be purchased from the cottage owners
• As there is livestock present on the farm, The Hay Loft cannot accommodate pets
• No smoking is permitted in the cottage

The hayloft can be booked together with The Old Dairy.

Book online but don't pay now. You will need to pay the deposit to the owner. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Please include a separate damages deposit of £100 with your balance payment, refundable if the cottage is left in good order. Please pay the deposit within 7 days. Payment methods accepted: cheque. We will send you an email with this information when you book.
