The Hay Barn is a beautiful cosy mountain top retreat with incredible views in the heart of the stunning Carmarthenshire countryside. At the edge of the Brechfa Forest and at 1000 feet, it boasts unrivalled views of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion and is perfectly placed to explore the delights of these 3 counties. We are totally dog friendly. With plenty of walking from the door along forest trails and with West Wales offering over 260 miles of coastal paths you will never run out of places to ramble. The nearby River Teifi is one of the best trout fishing rivers in Wales. For mountain bikers the Brechfa Forest Trails are world renowned and almost unlimited fire tracks start opposite the barn entrance. The location also makes us a great base for a tour of the Welsh trail centres. The Brecon Beacons are just a short drive away and there are plenty of popular attractions nearby including Aberglasney House and Gardens, Carreg Cennen Castle, Oakwood Theme Park, The National Botanical Garden of Wales and many more. There are a selection of lovely pubs and restaurants nearby and we also offer a mouth-watering menu of home-made meals. We specialise in short breaks, but full weeks may be available, please ask.

Accommodation
The Hay Barn is two storey and sleeps 4 (with room for another 4 on sofabeds). There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with zip-linked beds, allowing guests to choose if their room to be made up as a double or twin. There is also a sofa bed in the larger bedroom and a further sofa bed in the lounge. (It may also be possible to accommodate an additional 2 persons on z-beds – please enquire for further details.) The bathroom has a bath, electric shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail. The kitchen has a cooker/hob, fridge with ice box, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room has Free Sat TV & DVD, music system and FREE WiFi as well as two leather sofas (one is a sofa bed), an armchair and countryside views. Guests at The Hay Barn have access to a huge library of over 300 DVD movies. The dining area has a table with seating for up to 8.

Outside
There is an enclosed garden with garden furniture and barbeque. There is ample off road parking, a bike wash and secure storage.

The Hay Barn is semi-detached to Bay Tree Barn which is single storey. An internal door connects the two barns allowing each to be booked individually or together sleeping up to 16. Please contact West Wales Holiday Cottages for further information regarding booking both together.

Book online but don't pay now. You will need to pay the deposit to the owner. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Please £15 per dog for each full week, £10 per dog for a part week. Payment by online transfer preferred. Please pay the deposit within 7 days. Payment methods accepted: online bank transfer, cheque. We will send you an email with this information when you book.
