The Cow Barn is a luxurious holiday cottage set in 2 acres of land at the quiet and peaceful Parsons Lays Farm, just a short walk from the town of Laugharne. It has great views of the countryside and is perfect for families and couples looking for a rural getaway or a romantic retreat. One of three stunning holiday cottages The Cow Barn can be rented with The Stable and The Cart House making it ideal for group holidays or large families. Laugharne is well known for its connection with the famous poet and writer Dylan Thomas who lived here with his wife at The Boat House. Today The Boat House has been refurbished as a memorial to the poet and has memorabilia, a book shop, a tea room and a viewing platform.

There are some wonderful paths surrounding the farm making The Cow Barn ideal for walking holidays. The cottage is just 5 miles from Pendine Beach which boasts 9 miles of sand and is also a short distance from many other attractions and activities. These include Oakwood theme park, Folly Farm, horse riding, golf, quad biking, cart racing, adventure parks, the National Botanical Gardens and Ffos Las race course.

The accommodation
This comfortable cottage sleeps 6 people in three bedrooms on the first floor; 1 double room, 1 twin room in which the beds can be joined together to form a super king bed and 1 room with children's bunk beds. There is a family bathroom with bath, toilet and wash basin on this floor and a separate wet room on the ground floor.

The ground floor is open plan with a dining area, lounge area, and a fully equipped kitchen with integrated appliances. There is an electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The comfortable lounge area has satellite HD-TV with DVD player, WiFi and a stereo system. This cottage also has under floor heating.

Outside
Each cottage has its own BBQ area with outdoor seating to fully enjoy the summer and the site also boasts a kiddie’s play area. There is also ample parking for several cars next to each cottage.

Bed linen and towels are provided but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
