The Byre is a converted farm building on our 40 acre farm, Penybanc, in North Carmarthenshire. Penybanc Farm is between Newcastle Emlyn and Llandysul, just over a mile from the village of Drefach Felindre, location of the National Woollen Museum. There are two pubs which serve food within 1.5 miles of the cottage; one in Rhos and the other on the outskirts of Drefach Felindre. We have a strong green ethos on the farm with solar powered hot water, a biomass boiler and organic certification for our fruit and vegetables. Our central location means you are only about half an hours drive to both the Ceredigion and the Carmarthenshire coastlines. Its a similar time to the University town of Lampeter, the market town of Carmarthen and to the National Botanic Garden of Wales. There are plenty of local walking opportunities as well as our own land to enjoy.
The accommodation
The Byre sleeps 7 people in two bedrooms. One bedroom has 1 6ft bed and 1 3ft bed and one room has 2 3ft single beds and one set of full size single bunk beds. Both bedrooms are on the first floor, accessed by stairs. There is a shower room and toilet upstairs and downstairs.
