Sunnymeade in Newport Pembrokeshire overlooks the boathouse at the Parrog, having wonderful sea views to the front and views of Carningli mountain to the rear. Sunnymeade is the seaward half of a stone built, double-fronted Georgian house. A walk of less than 200m down the lane takes you to the shore and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path - if you resist stopping at the seafront cafι, perfect for lunch or afternoon tea in the sun! A short walk in the other direction brings you to the centre of the attractive village of Newport with its pubs, cafes and renowned restaurants, a good butcher, a health food shop selling delicious local produce, an interesting antique shop and various gift and craft shops.
Newport Bay has a wide sandy beach, perfect for swimming, sailing and other water sports. The coastline, which is part of the Pembrokeshire National Park, is one of the most beautiful stretches of cliff scenery in the British Isles. Directly behind Newport rises Carningli, a Celtic fort and outpost of the Preseli hills. The area is rich in history and in natural beauty, with wonderful walks, riding opportunities, bird watching and fishing. There is an 18 hole links golf course.
