Watch the boats and wildlife on the estuary from your windows in this waterside apartment. Situated on the Pembrokeshire bank of the beautiful River Teifi in St Dogmaels near Cardigan, Slipway View occupies an enviable position with uninterrupted views over this unspoilt waterway which teems with wildlife. Renowned as a salmon and sewin river, the Teifi is regularly visited by waders, sea birds and birds of prey as well as keen fishermen. Popular with boating enthusiasts, the estuary offers opportunities for other watersports such as canoeing or kayaking.
Its just over a mile to the sea at Poppit Sands where the broad expanse of sandy beach is a popular place for kitesurfing, windsurfing and more. Poppit is easily reached by the coastal bus, The Poppit Rocket, which stops on your doorstep and continues on to Fishguard, picking up and dropping off walkers of the famous 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path which starts in St Dogmaels. A newly opened section of path now links St Dogmaels to the 63 mile Ceredigion Coast Path too.
Slipway View is within walking distance of the centre of St Dogmaels with its village store, Post Office and riverside inns and restaurants. Visit the working water mill, the heritage centre, the remains of the Abbey and, on Tuesday mornings, the local producers market. Nearby Cardigan offers a wider range of shops and eating places as well as the cinema at Theatr Mwldan.
