Rainbow Cottage, a delightful stone property sleeping four set on a smallholding in peaceful countryside yet only a short distance from the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay. Just three miles away is New Quay with its safe sandy blue flag beach, picturesque harbour and the chance to see bottlenose dolphins, porpoises and Atlantic grey seals. A similar distance takes you to the secluded 18th Century smugglers cove of Cymtydu. The coastal walk from Cymtydu to New Quay enjoys spectacular views with an abundance of wildlife. A short drive takes you to numerous other beautiful coves including Tresaith,Penbryn and Llangrannog with the lovely harbour town of Aberaeron only eight miles away. Aberystwyth, Carmarthen and Cardigan are all less than a one hour drive.

Rainbow Cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms. Access to the cottage is via three steps to a large communal conservatory leading through the entrance door into a small hallway. From the hallway a door leads to the kitchen with ample work surfaces, storage space, electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge with freezer compartment. The open plan lounge and dining room contains two leather sofas, occasional furniture, table and chairs with a high chair available, television with built in Freeview, DVD player and a selection of films. Heating is by a modern electric pebble fire in the lounge with electric heating elsewhere. Stairs from the hallway lead to a landing with one double room on the first floor with TV, built in DVD, radio/CD player, a two seater settee, chest of drawers and built in wardrobe. The twin room in the attic with sloping ceilings is accessed via a staircase from the landing and has pine furniture a velux window with views to the sea. There is ample room for a cot and small child’s bed which can be provided if required. Stair gates are provided. The bathroom on the first floor contains a bath with an overbath shower, wash hand basin and WC. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided but please bring your own beach / swimming towels. Relax on the cane furniture in the conservatory or test your skills on the air hockey table provided for your entertainment. The cottage has free WiFi broadband internet access. The cottage is no smoking. One small well behaved dog is welcome at a cost of £20.00 per week.

Outside there is adequate safe parking, a table and four chairs to relax just outside the conservatory, mature and secluded gardens with a lawned area containing a summer house, swinging hammock, extra seating, barbeque (bring your own charcoal)and washing line. You are welcome to explore the owners’ grounds and meet the chickens together with other livestock that may be present at the time of your visit. Homemade preserves, free range eggs and home grown garden produce can be purchased from the owners. A welcome pack is provided on arrival and groceries can be obtained by arrangement.

Rainbow is an ideal base for touring, walking and riding. The owners’ fields are bisected by a bridleway leading to lovely walks through adjoining woodland. We are also adjacent to a designated cycle route. Fishing and golfing facilities are nearby.
